Icy Hot?

Has anyone used this for back pain? Not the patches, but the actual cream. I've never heard anyone say anything about it but my back is killing me and Tylenol does not work. If Icy Hot is not safe, is there anything else I could use that worked for other moms? It is above my lower back but under my shoulder blades if that makes sense.. it is like a dull aching and a pain all at once.

yeah and I liked it, of course my pain was severe enough that I needed more than that but it did work on my back way before it got worse.

I didn't use the actual "icy hot". But I used the store brand.. & It worked for me.

I dont think there's a problem using the cream.. I love the way it smells.. lol Im not sure if it'll help though.. I know it doesn't ever help my back pain. Goodluck

I'm a biofreeze user and posted this same question....after a consensus on BG and their own website not recommending it for pregnant women I decided to not risk it....it's a similar product to icy hot....

Have you tried alternating hot and cold compresses? Heat needs to limited tho. My OB said 5 min max at a time on a low setting

I would love some relief, it's been happening every night and it is hard to try to get comfortable when your back is aching and the baby is squishing your lungs. I will try a tad bit of it to see if it helps. Thanks ladies!

Oh man, lol ok then maybe not. I could send DH to the store to get some. Yeah the hot and cold didn't do too much to help and neither did a pain reliever. I've never had back issues so if I ever did before I could use icy hot and it usually worked pretty quick.
