I'm sorry. I also hate to seem rude but genetic disorders can be passed along without someone knowing that they have them. I hope that you're having a little girl.

but also at the time there are plenty of boys in my family.. so if i was a carriers so would the other women in my family... and thank you i hope so too... her name is goin to be zooey ayryana

I'm taking a developmental psychology class and it went over genetics in it. You can carry it and no one else in your family can. Do you have any sisters? Because I think that it would be something that both your mom and dad carry and that's why you have it and pass it on.   It's really confusing, but I will pray for you.

thank you so much... i am goin in for genetic testin within the next month... the disorder he has is very rare too.. so there is still a chance that this one wont have it

My son Cody is five years old and has Autism.

Everyone is a carrier of some type of genetic disorder with out having anything in their family, its when you meet someone else who has that same gene that makes it happen.

Well we should be friends!! I have never met anyone else with this problem!! I have been tested since I was 14 for Lupus, and at 16 they diagnosed me with Lupus. Well I saw a new Dr recently, and while I have all the symptoms of Lupus (Photo sensitivity, high ANA, kidney and lung involvement etc) they say It's not consistant enough to be Lupus in his opinion so they have now classified me as connective tissue disorder, with Lupus Like symptoms.

How were you diagnosed and what symptoms did you have?

My daughter (clara) had severe infant excema that we couldnt find the cause for until she was about 8 months old. She would have huge rashes on her face that would ooze and puss and weap. She would scream for hours and there was nothing we could do to help, its not a disorder but there was little help for cases as severe as she had. She also has grade three urinary reflux that a walk in clinic dr (because it was too long to see hers) said was roseola, but the next day without any wet diapers or fluid intake for almost 12 hours we took her to the er and she had a bladder infection. needless to say its been a long year for her.

As of Thursday they have said it is Fibro (again), but prior to that I went to MANY doctors and they kept changing their minds, but all agreed it was in the CTD family. I have many of the symptoms of Lupus, right down to the butterfly rash and was originally diagnosed with it, but (like you) they said it was not consistent enough to be. Now they have new screening for Lupus and I finnally had it done, so I know it is not.

My 3 month old daughter has Microcepahly(small head disorder)

I am bi polar and my son has Schizencephaly.

Girl-child had a great ortho check up today! She doesn't need to go back until closer to her 5th birthday, woohoo! And I found out that once we move, all I have to do is call the new county's Birth to 3 program and she's already qualified b/c she's in the one up here. Double woohoo!
