My son's dad isn't really around either. After my bf met my son, I casually mentioned him when BD and I were talking.

I plan on telling him, just not right now, or, until I talk to my attorney, because he's going to TRY to use it against me, even though I know he can't. He's just ignorant sometimes, and I know he'll blow my phone up with texts and calls if I tell him I'm dating someone.

My name is Nancy, and I'm new to this site. I'm a singe mother of a 5 year old boy, and I also have a 3 year old daughter who lives with her dad.About a year and a half ago, I was going through a tough time, and I asked him to help me. He took her for a few months while I was getting my life straight, and when I was able and ready to take care of her again, he wouldn't let me see her or have her back. As of right now, we have no custody agreement. I guess i'm just wondering have any other moms been through this sort of thing, and if they have any advice (other than go to court, that's in the process) Any tips on how to cope with having 2 kids, but not able to see one? Thanks!

How often do u get to see ur daughter? Why wouldn't he give her back to u once u said u were ready?

To keep the courts out of it kind of seems impossible if u two have already made an agreement that he hasn't followed through.

I'm not entirely sure why he won't let me see her, it may be in part that he has a bit of a control issue, and he can still control that aspect of his life is he has her. And I think another part is that he thinks that I'm still in the same lifestyle i was 2 years ago. My life has turned a 180, and I'm doing better than ever before, but he refuses to see that. I have nothing to be depressed about anymore, except that I have no involvement in my daughters life. It really gets to me sometimes. But I know that I just have to keep on truckin! God has a plan for me, and He will let me know when it's time for me to have my daughter back
