She stayed with my parents. I havent had to deploy yet, but I know its coming, and she will stay with them then too. Ive only had to leave for
some trainings and tdys, onw of which was 2 months long.

They are listed in my family care plan, as well as my living will, in case anything ever happens to me.

Ohh okay. An old coworker of mine did that for her son because he was a single parent. I wanted to go to college on a military scholarship and then do OCS and become an officer when I was in high school. I didn't meet height/weight requirements for the scholarships. So I let that dream go. Now that I've got a second child with a second dead beat father, I'm wondering if military is the way to go with or without OCS.

I swear. Everybody in CS Enforcement needs to be smacked upside the head.

Lol Thanks, I kind of slowly got out of it. After it happened I decided to pretend it didn't happen but I started to grow angry ( I'm normally a really calm happy person) I even through a mattress at him. I got out by just avoiding him and saying I was busy ( I figured if I stayed away my hate would disappear, it didn't, it still increased every time he popped in my mind) and one day around 6 months pregnant I told him I hated him and really just got mean and nasty for the first time in my life. And he gave me space and never talked to me till after my daughter was born my daughter is now 8 months and he has only sent me 5 texts about 3 months after my daughter was born I no longer had any hate for him ... But I'll be damned if I let him know that .... I'd rather have him live with the thought I hate him then the slate be wiped clean .. I'm just glad I don't carrier that evil emotion anymore

Hey everyone. I'm Amber due March 1st with my first. I'm single BD knows but I think he is not gonna do anything and hopes I don't. He is gonna be surprised when he gets paternity/CS papers.

So we've been hooking up off and on for 3 years. Yeah one of those relationships. Always thought he might have a gf but I was young. After last time we hooked up, he tells me about his 2 1/2 y/o daughter I never knew about followed by the blow he's married. WTF? Told me they are uninterested in each other and just together for the kid. Haven't heard from him since early July except for the random texts last week wondering if I was still preggers.

Yeah, I've got a 6 year old who has never met his father. And I've got a 6 month old whose father actually asked me "Are you sure you can afford to send her to daycare?" Well, since you're responsible for HALF of her expenses just like you're responsible for half of her DNA, yes I'm sure.

It's a great way to provide for the kiddos. Go with a more family friendly branch, granted I stand more duty then anybody in any other branch I know of, but my unit is my family. My CO knows my first name, and finding somebody to help me out with my daughter isn't a problem. I say go for it! I can't even remember how I survived waitressing at applebees as a single mom :/

I'm in the Coast Guard. I tried to join the AF but they wouldn't let me because my husband at the time (we were legally married but seperated) is in the Marines.
