My bd did too. He was happy about it until he realized that babies cost money and require work. They don't sleep and watch tv all day. You would think a 33 year old man would know better. oh oh oh i got one! my bd is so cheap, he thought his 16 year old sisters hand-me downs would be okay instead of buying clothes, etc. okay now i understand if maybe one of your friends kids just outgrew them recently or something.. but clothes that have been in storage for 16 years?! ew.

Mine didn't try to use 16 year old clothes  , but he didn't think we needed a crib, bassinett or changing table. He said the baby could just sleep in a drawer and we could change the diapers on the floor..

a drawer? wtf. thats worse than mine thinking she could've slept between us on a water bed! then when my family bought the crib/dresser/changing table set for me as a gift, he threw a fit about how his parents would buy nicer stuff. now, its beautiful furniture, and its whati picked out. he had his parents convinced i was just getting fat and i wasnt pregnant. i guess he wasnt ready to move out of their basement, and have a family.. i mean, he'd even sit there and say his 5 year old is just a bill to him.

Now I will admit I have a changing table but will sometimes put a changing pad down on the floor to change my daughter. I would never let her sleep in a drawer though that is crazy.

I don't have many stories about my bd because he hasn't been around.

I've done that too a few times. BD also wanted to spend the gift cards I got at my shower on groceries and video games  . He was so pissy that I bought clothes, bath stuff and wipeys ("how many wipeys can a baby use?"). He bought one pack of Parents Choice diapers when Kyle was 5 months old and complained about how expensive they were. I can't wait for the child support to take affect so he can see what reality looks like.

Wow! Maybe I am weird, but this feels so much better that I can bitch about him and others can somewhat relate.

My BD left before I found out I was pregnant, but we both knew I could be. I told him I was pregnant, and he said he couldn't financially handle a child. Oh, did I mention he left me for a 16 year old? He was 23 at the time. He has met her twice, and said he wanted to be in her life, but haven't seen him since November. Not even a dime for child support. He even changed his number.

His loss though! My little lady is amazing!

He is probably going to have a fit when he realizes how much child support he has to pay. Men can really be stupid sometimes. I don't think they sit and think about all the stuff you need for a baby and how much it all cost.

It is nice to have a place to vent and not worry about what mean thing's people are going to say!

wow men suck!! my BD has 3 kids with 2 girls and he is 21! the youngest 2 are 6 weeks apart (yep thats right he cheated on me). he has seen Jayden one time since he was born and he wouldnt even hold him or change his diaper..cause he changes girls...not boys! and he thinks that jayden should stay with him over night! ha ha i think not!!!

I think I may have a future little troublemaker on my hands. I put Kyle on the floor so I could put his clothes in the dryer. I come back and he scooted all the way across the room and was trying to get in his diaper bag.
