it is very frustrating cuz at the time of his childhood, that was when it was all becoming a issue in society and ppl didnt know how to handle it or even diagnose it correctly. He was bullied, picked on by peers AND teachers, and went thru hell as a child. BUT he was also excused due to his disorder and had alot on pity from my family and i think that is why he feels so intitled to things

Jeremy also had the eye contact issue. He still will not look at you when you are speaking to him. His speech is so hard to understand. From what I understand, OCD tendencies are very common with Asperbers.

i know, as his older sister it made me furious cuz i thought that he was just being a brat. its hard to understand someone who is so picky.
my nephew shows signs of aspergers and my SIL is so mean to him! she is so pushy and expects WAY TOO MUCH from him. its sad cuz he is her step son. her real son was diagnosed as autistic and she is way more sympathetic towards him

my bro has OCD tendencies. he also has a hard time looking ppl in the eyes. he is really not good at showing affection and admitting he has any type of feeling

Jeremy has a lot of issues with children in his school. They make fun of him because he "acts like a baby" and we actually had him switched from his classroom because his teacher would make horrible comments to him. He would come home crying because he would tell us that she would get mad and tell him she needs a vacation from him... He eats alone a lot and kids mess with him constantly.

my bro bounced from teacher to teacher due to their inability to show compassion towards him. My bro was in a foods class with 2 of my best friends and they told me how he was insistent that HE made the french toast and then when it was done he didnt want any! lol, aspergers at its finest!!

Yeah we have trouble so much so with his speech that he mummbles and its hard for others to understand him. he is just now speakin in 3 and 4 word sentacnces. And i could see OCD in him cause that child can NOT have his hands dirty i remeber on his first bday he wouldnt eat the cake till i removed the icing he just didnt like it on his hands.

It really worries me because Ive noticed that families with more than one child, there are multiple cases of Aspergers and autism. They dont know if its hereditary, but it seems to be. My SO says that every problem Jeremy has, he remembers having as a youth, but at that time, Autism wasnt really a big thing and they werent so quick to diagnose.

Yeah someitmes i wish that maybe we should have caught it sooner we could have done something for him. But he was my first child i didnt know what to look for now i worry about it in my youngest but he is doing good so far i even went so far to have him checked out by BACH and he was right where he should be other than his weight. I dont believe you can do anything to cause it, but I understand there always being that thought. Jeremy is on medication and it doesnt seem to be working. That tough on him as well. He doesnt know that theres something wrong with him, but he knows he does not like to take it... We're trying everything and still running into road blocks.

just steer clear of Adderal. my bro was on it and it was horrible for him! he couldnt sleep and he started to become paranoid

That was one of the options. It sucks because we dont have total control of the situation. His mother will do anything to make him "not act like a little smurf". She even double doses him to take him out. He is only suppose to take it for school. No weekends, no summer, but she has already threaten us that shes going to medicate him over the summer.
