Sarting to Wonder

posted 12th Jun '07
So, another month has passed and all my hopes that were elated are now deflated.
I have started my period, and thus have ended all wondering over whether or not this month we have concieved.

It is starting to make me wonder whether i'm infertile. My biggest fear would be known, and I just want to know. I want to either get pregnant and know it's possible, or be told that I will never be able to, and move on. I hate being in constant wonder.

This is all too upsetting.

Don't stress we had been trying for 6 months and I thought that was it (since I have had so many difficulties in the past)!!

Then we gave up and here I am ready to deliver very soon!!!

I have noticed that when you stress you body doesn't allow you to conceive also I would started talking you prenatals now before getting pregnant cause the folic acid will help you too.

Godd Luck and praying that next month you get your wish!!!!!

Right before I got married...last july I was told my gyno. that I had PCOS and that I probably wouldnt be able to have babies on my own...I was 20 years old then! yeah! So I got married in October, the same year, and I was on birthcontrol. Well in Nov. I decided to quit taking them cause I wasnt too concerned cause I thought I couldnt get pregnant on my own...Well two days after my birthday in Feb. guess what, I found out I was preggo. So it can happen even when doctors tell you it cant. Just pray and hope for the best.

Good luck and I hope you dont stop trying.

my next door neighbours were trying for 6 years - had tests which were all normal results and then tried clomid fertility drug - still nothing,

i asked her if she even knew for certain when she ovulated - no she did not.

she went out and bought the clearblue digi ovulation test and she thought she ov'd at around day 13 which is when she always gets pains in her sides.

she did the test over 2 months just to be sure and the first was inconclusive and in the end it turned out she was ovulating in day 5 of her cycle - just as she was finishing her period.

she is now 27 weeks pregnant after trying for one month at her proper ovulation time!

I know you have probably done all these tests but i think it is a lovely story.

I had PCOS and have had 8 pregnancies which consisted of one m/c one live baby, 5 m/c and i am pregnany at week 22 and all is well, i have never had any treatment for it only i changed my diet.

good luck!

First of all, don't get down on yourself. for some people, as others have said, the stress of TTC and wanting it so badly can actually make it harder to concieve.

Secondly, how long have you been trying? Were you on BC before? The pill, depo? Being on a hormone treatmnt for BC can make it longer before you conceive because your body needs three months on average to resume it's "normal" function.

Don't give up, but rather take more of a relaxed approach. It'll happen!

Good luck!

well, we've been trying for a year now, and i was forced on BC on Aug, but never since then, and now it seems like it'll never happen. I want to get a ovulation test, to see when I do ovulate, but they are very expensive. lol.

If you have been trying for over a year, look into fertility specialists. They will help people that have been trying for a year or more with no luck.

I have a 4 year old daughter from a previous relationship when I was 20, and when me and my husband got together and tried to have a baby, I was wondering why it wasnt happening...i thought one of us may be infertile; but it turns out we werent having sex enough. In april we started doing it every other day and I got pregnant around May 1...the 1st month we actively started trying! It will happen when its right

One cheap way to determine when you have ovulated is to check your temperature every morning. It won't predict ovulation but it can tell you when it's happened. You take your temp around the same time every morning when you wake up before eating or drinking or moving around alot. After you ovulate different hormones come into play and raise your basal body temp. Write it down so you don't forget. In a few months you should see a pattern.
