I was watching somethings about interracial dating and I always notice people on BG saying things about interracial babies are prettier or that they would only black men instead of white men, when they are white women.
Personally, I believe my baby is the cutest thing around, not because he's white, but because he's my baby. Lol. Which I'm sure most moms feel that way. Also, as far as relationships are considered, I think people should date/marry/sleep with/whatever with whoever they are attracted to, no matter if they are the same race or not, I don't think it should matter and it's really sad it still does.
So I'm just curious to see, how do you ladies feel about it?
Aside from the poll, do you think racism plays a role in it? Do you think self-hating plays a role in refusing to date inside your race?

I have dated almost every race. My husband is Hispanic & I'm Caucasian. I wouldn't say I was attracted to any particular race or that I'm trying to stay away from my own. It's purely attraction.

I've never given much thought to interracial dating/relationships/children. I, myself, amhalf mexican and half white. My SO is half blackand half white. I obviously seenothing wrong with it.Lol.

However, for people who DO have a problem with it, or do notinterracial date, I think racism doesplay a part in itwhether it be that they are racist or that their family is. I know some friends of mine won't interracial date because of their parents beliefs, even though they are not racist themselves. I have racist people in my family and I don't think that your families views should prevent you from beingwith someone you love or are attracted to.

On the other hand, my SO has grown on my familyand even those that are racistlikehim. So I guess it really just depends.

I've dated outside my race, but not intentionally. Meaning, I always just dated whomever I had chemistry with, regardless of their race. I never understand people who refuse to date their own race, or other races. Missing out on a lot of good prospective partners with that mentality. 

I think it has to do with self-hate for some, and maybe family pressure in others.

I have dated a black man, I dont see anything wrong with it. Im with a white man now...I dont see an issue with skin color at all!

I think it's just preference. Most women have a "type", whether it's dark tall and handsome, blue eyes or green eyes... Sometimes you can't really help who you're attracted to. I don't think it's race necessarily. And Ithinkby society's standards, it doesn't really matter.People are a lot more open now days, granted you get the ones that aren't.
I don't agree with anyone saying certain kinds of races make cuter babies as a fact; that's all opinon.
And no I don't think self-hating has to do with it. That's a little extreme. Maybe a couple people are that way, like 5 out of a million that date outside their race. Haha. I don't know. That's just an extreme way of seeing it.

Im white....hubby is black. I obviously dont see an issue in it. I actually can't stand the phrase "race"....our race is HUMAN.

Meh, I don't care what anyone else does. Date your own race, date another race, fuck, date a giraffe for all I care.

I don't really have any opinions on why people have preferences for their race/other races.

It seems like alot of you are saying that it doesn't matter, but is there anyone that thinks people should stick to their own race? I would really like to get the reasoning from the other side.
