102 Fever!

I may sound crazy sorry this is my babys first fever.  Not the first time being sick but first time she developed a fever.  She developed a cough and my sister has a cough and a fever so I was keeping a close eye on her.  I just took her temp and it was 102. I gave her some motrin and called the pedi I wanted to know if anyone had experience with this and if I should take her to the er.

My pedi says babys have higher temps and not to go to the er unless it is 104. Motrin should elevate it but if you feel like it isn't helping take her

if the temp doesnt go down within 30 - 45 mins then i would take her just give the medicine a little bit of time to kick in

I have two girls, my oldest is 3 so of course I have.... and my youngest is 5 months and had a fever of 102.3 not to long ago, it is from teething. I gave her infant tylenol and she was fine!!! Your pedi didn't tell you that 102. is ok... just monitor the baby...???

102 isnt horrible, just keep an eye on her. It could be a number of things, but my pedi always wants to see my girls when they have a cough, because she will need some kind of medicine. She will be ok though mama!
