have you had your gallblader out? please help

So today i find out after lots of tests that i have a pollap(sp) in my gallblader and that it has to come out , something about it beging a binine tumor or something . I have to go see the surgon tommorow morning what can i expect as far as the surgry goes? i have a 4 month old and my husband it in texas for the next 3 weeks for work (19 hours by car ) Has anyone had their gallblader out ? thanks in advance

well it should be outpatient but you will be sore for a week or more and cant do too much. Oh and you will have severe shits all the time...lol....good luck

Mines been out 8 yrs. and Everything tears my stomach up. And when i say severe i mean that it will just hit u all of a sudden and you have 2.5 secs to get to a toilet...lmao

I got mine out when My daughter was 6 wks old... I was out of it the day of the surgery.... But the next day i was up and moving around... and I only have 4 (one in my belly button so you cant see it) tiny little scars...

But yes... Sometimes i feel like i should eat on the toilet, LOL... Food just run RIGHT through me now.... hahahah oh god, it sucks!

not really the diet plan i was going for now i am scared about the after the surgry

DOnt be scared... you will know what does it to you after a while... for me, its fatty food... or cheese... cheese does it real bad... But im such a horrible eater, I eat that junk anyways! lol

I would have someone stay with you or take your son for the night after the surgery..... I was soooo out of it... I would fall asleep standing up! LOL

yeah peanut is going to grandmas house but not sure when i am having it done yet my doc said he may be able to do it yet this week so i am doing the mad dash tring to get everything done before

i havent had mine out yet but im scheduled for surgery on may 6th. i have gallstones and noone on my thread told me about the bathroom thing now im mad lol but i was told its only 4 little scars left and you leave the same day as the surgery. its nothing major it only takes one hour to get it out and if you are breast feeding you have to pump and throw it away then the next time your milks comes in you can breast feed again. you cant carry anything heavy (your baby will be ok without the carseat) and i think thats it.
