Went to the dentist as a wisdom tooth is bothering me....and the teeth are wrecked from HG.
Terms like : De-mineralized and Repair were used several times.

I wish more people were aware of what HG is and how it affects the mother because all I keep hearing is you have to eat, as if I don't try that everyday! It's so depressing when nobody takes you seriously and just brushes it off because "they never experienced that".

I am 14 weeks now and have been suffering since about week 5. The doctors have recently told me that there is nothing left that they can do for me, which honestly is just not an answer that I am willing to take. This is after throwing up a feeding tube, home IV therapy, Zofran pump, and whatever else they have tried. I am going into the hospital every day now for an IV of fluids and it has to be changed every single day. I am sick of it. My clinic will not authorize a PICC line. Has anyone ever had their doctors tell them that they have no more options??? What do they think? Am I just supposed to sit back and wait to die???

My doctor told me that she was running out of options, have you tried steroids?, or a combination of medicne- zofran and phenergan together at same times i am surprised they wont authorize a picc. If your that bad they should admit you until they get you to a place where you can handle meds

I've been on two rounds of steroids, zofran, phenergan, and reglan. I was hospitalized the day after I threw up the feeding tube and that's when they started steroids. The first round of steroids worked very well and I was doing a lot better. After the first round was done, I gradually got sick again until I was back to the way things were before. Then they tried round two and it didn't work.

So they want you to stay home and just suffer putting you at risk? I might ask someone to help you switch drs and/or hospital depending on who is the problem. I have had a midline and received a blood clot from it, but id do it again for relief , they woudlnt give me fluids at home though:-( which would have saved a lot of money, does your body handle zofran when in the hospital through iv?

I am in the process of tranferring all of my records to a new clinic and new hospital right now. I also find it concerning that my doctors at this clinic never even requested my records for my previous pregnancy where I had severe preeclampsia and pre-term labor. Then I am on quite a few different medications because I have a very severe mental illness and I have been unable to take any of that medication for over a month now because of the hyperemesis. They know I am unable to take the meds, but have never shown any type of concern. The zofran pill has always had a very minimal effect on my nausea, but through the IV it has always worked better. I haven't had it through an IV very many times, but I did use a pump for zofran which I had to discontinue using because it became so unbearingly painful.
