How are things hun? Can they cover any other meds? Phenerghan or anything else that may help? and I cant understand why they wont cover Zofran. How frustrating!

I love your avi hun! How are things with the new little one?
I had my PICC last time from about 8 weeks to about 22 weeks, maybe even longer so over 3 months for sure but I was so thankful for it despite the infection and issues with it.

same
Ondansetron.. I think that's the genetic of Zofran? Either way, meds don't do anything.
I went back to work, in fact i'm working 11 hours today. The only reason I'm getting through is bc I'm sitting all day.. but i feel like crap.
I hope I feel better faster than with Aubrie.. I don't want another 3 months like this

I was so thankful for my PICC line , I honestly believe it saved Aubries life. <3

yeah Ondansetron is the same thing as Zofran, that's also what they gave me at the beginning when I tried to do pills, didnt do anything for me either. I'm sorry hun, I do hope it goes away soon.

So I just thought Id stop by and say hi. I was a member on this thread a while back while going thru HG with my 3rd and had major issues with my PICC and blood clot and all that. But now Im pregnant with my 4th and although I had severe nausea in the first 20 weeks, I havent had it nearly as bad with this pregnancy and I am almost done!! I have had some vomiting in the morning now that Im getting bigger and what not, but I am so greatful its not worse.

My baby making days are for sure over after this baby. I am closing this chapter of my life and focusing on raising them. (the factory is closed LOL) I wish you ladies the very best, I pray for you, I hope the rest of your journey is as puke free as possible. XO!! Thanks for being there for me when Ive needed you!!!

Hi ladies! I just found out I was pregnant about a week ago and almost immediately the nausea started. Soon after, the throwing up began! So far it's 4-8 times a day. With my daughter I wasn't diagnosed with hyperemesis. It was just chalked up to "oh it's a normal pregnancy you can deal with it." I was in college at the time and lived on campus. I ended up having to do all my classes online. This time I'm trying a new dr. but they will not do anything or call in a prescription till I come in and see them. Of course my appt isn't until dec 7(they won't change it-I may have to find a new dr). I've missed work 3 days this week. I work at a school and really would like to be there but this is making it impossible. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I can do to ease the nausea/throwing up for the next month before getting in to see the dr?

Hey ladies I'm HG SURVIVING right now but not sure how long it will last, because I get more and more nauseous by the day. The day I got a positive HPT I called my dr and demanded Zofran, Reglan and Phenergan. She obliged, thankfully!! I think since I started before the nausea got bad, and I was able to stay hydrated, it worked better. I am slowly going downhill. Today I'm 9 weeks and can't drink water anymore! I have to drink blue kool-aid or I'll vomit. The nausea is awful but I'm able to keep the vomiting down to about once a day, which is how it was with my daughter.

This is my 4th pregnancy: I've had severe HG with 2, and mild HG with my daughter. I have one angel baby, and by the time I lost him at 9 weeks I was already down 15lbs with several ER visits. I'm bound and determined to BEAT HG this time around! I think the more knowledge you gather, the better off you might be! Good luck to anyone dealing with this awful condition!

Hey ladies! I am happy to see so many of you are having positive things to say about your pregnancies/surviving through them. I am now 28 weeks and I puke maybe once every 2 weeks at most:-D, its almost completely covered by zofran, of course I am still nauseous on and off but generally food and a little soda will cover it- just morning sickness. I had a Picc line, and a blood clot and was recently in for having trouble breathing/pain with breathing, extreme tightness that wouldnt go away in stomach(like a non stop braxton hicks) I was walking like a old lady and could barely function..apparently due to babys position, pain from blood thinner shots i guess making it hurt more and having a anterior placenta, i have never been so uncomfortable in my stomach in my life besides in labor so they wanted to make sure it wasnt preterm labor-there was no contracting or changing, everything went back to normal the next day but becuase of having had a blood clot before and skimping a bit on my heprin because of pain/husband conveniently" forgetting"before work they sent me for a cat scan cuz they thought i might have a blood clot IN MY LUNG- it was scary..they said the baby and i would potentially die if it went untreated and i had it:-(.. so im going to get a stern talking to at my dr appointment on thursday and im super nervous..thinking of allowing my 3 yr old go with me so they cant make me look bad infront of him/give me a hard time -HA. Anyways Stay strong ladies!!

im curious, did you not get a picc this time, is it even a option?..iv heard someone who got one bad enough to be hospitalized for 2 1/2 months of her pregnancy is not allowed another picc and that just leaves steroids or tpn through stomach tube of some sort.

No I had really bad nausea first tri and a little after, but hardly any vomiting. And things this time, as far as HG goes have been very mild. I did get zofran, lost 16lbs, but even so, I am greatful I wasnt vomiting constantly.
