It does help when they start understaning that women do get this and that you are not just being over sensitve, there is even a daddies forum on the hyperemesis website that I will get the link for you too. He can check it out too.

Antiacids- Pepcid, Milk of Magnesium
Benedryl
Phenerghan(alergic)
Reglan(alergic)
Zofran
Thorazin (got to check the spelling on this)
Steriods (breifly but decided not too continue with it, low dose)
The Picc line
The Zofran pump
TPN
Lipids
IV hydration

Thank you ladies so much   I just realized something else I hate is dinner with families. They always say something like thats all your eating? No wonder you don't feel good. I'm like yeah I'll eat more and then throw up on you choose! haha If only I could really say that lol.

FINALLY. I'm so happy about this!!!


I had it with my son, and found out I'm pregnant again yesterday and I'm terrified!!!

I don't know ANYONE in RL that has had it. I never felt so alone and sad in my whole life when I was pregnant with my son.

I'm hoping that if I get it this time I can find some type of support system and that maybe the doctors will do something about it before I lose 40 pounds and my urine is almost black.

IDK about anyone else...but I have been pretty much housebound for about 4 weeks...with a few exceptions...I did get to the beach saturday...but boy have I been paying for it this week...my nausea/vomitting is starting to get the best of me....throwing up two crackers and some water shouldnt take a half an hour like it took me last night...oh man.

I suffered with HG for 3 pregnancies. Thankfully I was in my first trimester with my oldest child and someone actually told me about hyperemesis. That allowed me to do research and know what I was going through was NOT normal and that my OB/GYN was ignorant.

With my oldest it ended the moment he was born. With my 2nd, it was around 7 months. With my youngest it was at about 5 months, with a slight relapse post partum.

Pregnancy one: phenergan didn't work. Dr prescribed zofran and would not give me a refill. I broke the tablets down and rationed them for my worst times. I was also in the hospital. We moved and I changed dr's...calling their office first to make sure they prescribed zofran to pregnant women. He did! I think I went into the hospital 1 or 2 more times, but he was very adamant on helping me.

Pregnancy 2: I knew what to expect. We started the zofran very early. I was in the hospital 2 or 3 times.

Pregnancy 3: Same thing. Admitted to the hospital for the first time at 7 weeks. Dr said he wanted to try to hit it HARD this time. Phenergan (it actually helped some this time), zofran, b6 with unisom, motion sickness ear patches and of course my old seabands as well. He also really wanted me to be on IV fluids at home but I told him I had done it before, I could tough it out. I really should have just let them put me on a home IV, but I was stubborn. I had so much medicine I slept about 4 weeks solid and had a strict written schedule to help me stay up on it all. I had to quit working alltogether and my mom stayed with us a lot. I remember sometimes feeling fine and then 5 minutes later I would be vomiting so hard that I couldn't move.

Truth be told I was actually glad I was in bed for 4 weeks. It was a blur and it helped me to just shut out everything going on. When I was awake I read. My friend brought me books from the library.

During that pregnancy Dr. Phil did a show on a woman with HG. I told all of my friends to watch it so they would know. It's like non stop food poisoning.

It stopped at 5 months with pregnancy #3 and I did actually enjoy SOME time being pregnant! It was AMAZING!!!!

We did a scheduled c-section with him and I had my tubes tied. NO regrets there.   We are hoping to adopt a little girl. We started the process just over a year ago. Then I will be complete.      

There is a research study that UCLA is doing. I mailed off a saliva sample to them. Last I heard they needed more people to participate. There was info on the helpher.org website.

Kudos to anybody that actually read all of that!!!

I have it  . But Zofran has worked for me tremendously.

I HATE Reglan.lol. It made me feel so weird like I was taking downers or something.

Or when they say eat crackers.I cant even keep down water and somehow crackers are going to work?lol
