Gallblader????

So i was in the er on sat night sund morning because i was have horrible pains that mad it feel like someone was crushing me . They did tests and said that everything looks good on paper but that she want a u/s done of my gallblader. it took2 rounds of morphine to stop the pain . Any ways any mommas out there that have had gallstone or gallblader problems/ surgry? Thanks for you input

I had gallstones and my gallbladder removed. The pain from the gallstones was so terrible and the surgery just took all that pain away. I don't miss that gallbladder at all. The only complaint I have is foods that have a higher fat content will tear your stomach up for a while.


ETA: I went to the ER for my gallbladder pain and morphine was the only thing that would help...they did give me a prescription to percocet for the week between my ER visit and my surgery.

Well sat was the worst ever i had the same pain sometimes at night but it only lasted a few mins but sat night was like 2 hours before the morphine took away the pain
how long where you out after having the surgury? my hubby just left las night for texas for 3 weeks and i am home by myself with our 4 month old son

I think I was restricted from work for 2 weeks. The incision is so small (an inch under the belly button) that they sent me home same day. It was really the easiest of the three surgeries I've had.

did you have lots off pain shortly afeter eating? i have been feeling ok since i came home but i just ate lunch i have been staying away from fatty foods but now i am in lots of pain again

Yeah, about an hour after I ate I would be in intense pain. To me, it felt like I was having an insane muscle cramp in my upper abdomen.

yeah and it seems to come and go in waves . hurts from the center of the ribcage all the way back to my spine

That sounds about right. I haven't been in labor but I assume it might be just as bad.

i think that the gallblader was worse then labor
