It's a great book. I think that I actually heard about it on Oprah a few years back. Wow, that may be the only useful thing that I took from Oprah. It almost reminds me of The Awakening by Chaupin because of the ending.

I think I remember that. It was FOREVER ago.

And yes--I can see the Chaupin resemblance as she's "whale watching."

i'm right there with you haha. i just got done reading 'you're a good mom (and youre kids arent so bad either)' lately i've been getting all into the mom books, especially the ones that have a lot of humor in it like the one I mentioned.

it's pretty good, i read it in like 2 days but i read really fast. its' basically just about finding the middle between being a super mom and being a slacker mom. really its common sense imo, but i still enjoy reading other peoples opinions on stuff ya know?

I'm trying to convince myself that I wanna read this Picoult, Nineteen minutes. It's been sitting here for a while.

thats sounds good.. is a true story??.. im going to have to make a list and check them out... i liek reading books about crazy stuff lol.. tenn pregnancy.. abuse.. runaway.. rape.. its so far from my reality an life its interesting to read about..

i read a book back in the day called 'why me' about a girl who got raped. I know what you mean about that lol i like reading books about drug addicts and other people who are crazy/messed up/rape victims/whatevertoo. there was also 2 books that i read in 6th grade, one called 'drive by' and i cant remember what the 2nd was called but it was about this girl in HS whos mom just randomly took off and left her and her little siblings to fend for themselves and she kept it secret but she wrote in this journal for her english class that her teacher had said she'd never read unless the students said otherwise, so finally at the end of the book she told her teacher she wanted her to read the whole thing....lol i dont know why i remember these it was like 11 years ago that i read them.
