I get to do something weird today! lol

Well They are remodeling/rebuilding the Oregon State Mental Hospital and so for the last time they are doing a potluck thingy for "take your kid to work day" since you can't actually take your kid to work there. My MIL works there and she gets to bring all of us to this thing. We went a couple of years ago and it was pretty cool. We get to go down in the undergroundtunnels that the government SWEARS do not exist   which is SOOOOOO creepy and spooky. All of the inmates and "residents" will bein completely different buildingsat the time we are there so everyone will be safe from the criminally insane! lol

If you have ever seen the movie "One Flew Over A cookoos Nest" that is the hospital that my MIL works at.

yeah when you walk along center street they have like these glass block things just randomly placed. They are so people can see in the tunnells during the day. I don't think they really lie about the tunnels now. But I know they used to. A long time ago they used to torture people down there. You can see the torture places when you go down there. There isn't like "torturing devices" anymore just randomly placed like cages or something. They also used to transport prisoners to the state hospital and transport "residents" to court and stuff. The tunnels run all through downtown Salem. Not alot of people know that.

The tunnels are fucking creepy. My SO used to work there too. And he had to be in the tunnels all day. He was a cart runner (for food service) He would run the food to the wards.

I know huh! I want to go see a ward so bad. But there are seriously dangerous people there. My SO has been attacked by this guy who "does not like tall dark haired men" and my MIL has been attacked by a woman who "thought she was putting poison in her food" (she was salting the womans food for her, because she asked her to! lol)

They even have an old "Crematorium" there. Where they used to cremate people. And so many people's urns were just left there. Because back in the day it was "shameful" for a family member to be insane. So they would just completely cut the person out of their family and just leave them there when they died.

Hey when they are in the tunnel and talkin and the camera faces her ( at the beginnin ) there is someone standing at the end of the tunnel? Is he suppose to be there?

so does a lot of "weird" things go on since you liven in Salem or is it just hear say lol i dunno. We have a town called Salem here and its freakin creepy. & the speed limit is like 35. you cant get through there fast enough LMAO

Probably. There are no inmates or residents allowed down there. So it's more than likely just security, a nurse, a food service person, or some sort of staff

man, makes me want to watch that movie now. lmao i've seen bits and pieces of it, but knowin now that its a real place makes it more interesting
