yeah ours is ancient government ghetto housing. there's some places where the lino squares are actually cracked down the middle and places where the wax has been stripped. i wonder if the vinegar rinse will help make them look a little better.

This was the one with the 10 year old with the massive tumor that involved basically all her organs and they figured out their plan via Anatomy Jane. Her dad's speech to the cheif almost made me cry, but not kleenex inducing. Her family wasn't believable to me. I think that may have been my problem. I have one of the most supportive, involved families I've ever met and they still know when to stay the hell out of the doctors way.


I don't think I've seen the other kid one yet. If so I don't remember it  

We had a pretty awesome 4th. Hope everyone else did too!!

We grilled brats for lunch and Emery helped me make potato salad and cole slaw (so cute!). Then we went out to the carnival type thing where Emery went on her first pony ride! We had dinner there and just chilled with friends until time for the fireworks. Emery thought of being scared at first, but then she snuggled up with me and almost fell asleep LOL. By the end she was up on her feet gasping and covering her mouth shouting "lookatdat! Lookatdat!"

Oh my gosh, she was a riot! My poor friend's kid (same age) screamed bloody murder until she fell asleep.   It didn't even occur to me that Emery might be scared this year! (Last year she loved it, but -obviously- she was a lot younger) I'm so glad she enjoyed it! I love the 4th so much. I can't wait until next year when we can celebrate USA style again. It's just not quite the same in Germany. I mean, it's on base.... but it's different all the same.

the fireworks here suck. they last 15min tops, and they are itty bitty. not even worth it.

Ours were actually really decent this year. I was shocked! The past two years they sucked ass, not even worth the drive, really. Last year the show was about 15 mins and half of it was these stupid happy face fireworks. That's all the popped, I giant 60s style happy face. Lame!

The ones this year weren't USA style, but they were still good, and probably twice as long as before. PLUS it was held on our base so we got to walk home. No fighting crazy hella traffic just to get to the gate for us. WOOHOO!!

And honestly, it was a lot better on our base. We have a huge softball field they set them off in so it was DESIGNED for spectators. Every spot was a good spot. In the past they've set them off on the flight line, meaning, thanks to force protection, there is no good spot to watch. Anywhere you go your view is blocked by something. Good thinking guys, really.

Yeah, I feel for you. The fireworks totally blew the last two years. I'm so glad they wised up this year.

well i am new to thins whole thing but i am ttc...and will be testing tomorrow the 6th...been trying since january with nothing but problems from my girl parts....hoping this tiem i will get a bfp but you never know....otherwise i start clomid this friday....wish me luck....we'll see how this goes...
