Anywho, There was a survey listed in the book in which is discusses a list of things American's say they believe in.

I'm curious to see how BG stacks up! I'm not saying I agree or dissagree with any of the following, but I'll answer in a bit. So if you'd like to play, answer yes or no to the following! NO maybes!!


1. Do you believe in Astrology? Horoscopes, etc.... 52% Of Americans say yes!

2. ESP? 46% of Americans do!

3. Witches? 19%

4. Aliens have landed on Earth? 22%

5. Atlantis is a lost continent? 33%

6. Dinosaurs and Humans lived at the same time? 41%

7. Noah's Flood? 65%

8. Communication with the dead? 42%

9. Ghosts? 35%

10. That you yourself has had a psychic experience? 67%

The book also discuss Holocaust Deniers and other such things. It's a really good book!

Yeah that is a valid point, but I'm not sure if 20% of Americans are Wiccan or Pagan though.

Astrology/Horoscopes: No, but some personality traits do tend to follow them.

ESP: Eh, not really...good intuition maybe.

Witches: No.

Aliens: Scare the shit out of me (ET makes me cry), so I'm saying no.

Atlantis: No.

Dinosaur/Human: No.

Noah's flood: Do I believe the Earth has flooded? Possibly.

Communication with dead: Yes.

Ghosts: I think so, but I'd prefer not to find out. I do like Paranormal State quite a bit though.

Psychic experience: Nope, none for me.

2. ESP? No, but I should add that I'm not saying it could never happen, but there is currently no evidence anyone with ESP actually exists. There are even large amounts of money out there for people who can prove they have it, but they never do!

You talk about Pompeii, but we have EVIDENCE Pompeii exists! None whatsoever of Atlantis.

Yeah, we have evidence now, but it was just stories before. Right?

You'd be surprised. In the past few years it's become more mainstream. But I'm sure some of that percentage are people that think of green, broom riding witches.

4. Aliens have landed on Earth? No, unless you count bacteria or other organisms from space that landed on earth via an astroid or something like that, then sure.

5. Atlantis is a lost continent? No, but I believe that Atlantis could have been a civilization that is now underwater somewhere. (Was covered after the ice melted from the last ice age or something of the sort)

6. Dinosaurs and Humans lived at the same time? No. The Flinstones was a cartoon people.

7. Noah's Flood? No LOL

8. Communication with the dead? Don't know. My head says a resounding no, but I am still very interested in the prospect of ghosts/spirits.

10. That you yourself has had a psychic experience?Yes and No. I knew an earthquake was going to happen hours before itdid, which was REALLY weird. But I don'tthink that it was psychic so much as me being sensitive to something going on under the earths surface.
