breast feeding and nipple rings?

okay so im still deciding on if i want to breast feed or not i just always hear horror stories about how bad it hurts and it can leave you all blistered and ugly looking lol! but i also have my nipples pierced and have had them since my 16th birthday, i seriously cannot see my boobs without them which i know sounds weird but i think their hot and my husband LOVES them! but seriously i can only imagin what they may cause to happen with breast feeding. too much milk fromt he 3 holes lol?

That would be a really selfish reason not to.

If you are able, please do it. It is best for your baby and I can promise you, you wont regret it.

You're supposed to take them out if you BF, I believe.

And it doesn't hurt me to BF, and I don't blister, and I'm never sore.

And, I know BFing isn't for everyone.. But it's better for your child, and that's kind of a selfish reason to not to do the best for your child.

If your baby is willing to latch on its WAY more important than nipple peircings so i would say if theres no medical reason why then you SHOULD breastfeed and not be selfish. IMO

thats my main reason for wanting to i dont want to be selfish, but i also want to get back on my meds bcause i have been so much more depressed without themvand everything thats going on is making it worse. how long do you usually breast feed?

my best friend had nipple rings with her's she loved them before she had her little girl and hated them after she said she never stopped leaking ever she had to let them close up. she gone back and repierced them her daughters like 7 now she had them repierced for a few years

Just cause it makes your breasts look ugly you dont wanna breastfeed? That's not a good idea. If you do though I would expect you take them out before each feeding.

I am on medicine, and am BFing. I've had really bad PPD, and they just put me on a lowdose. It helps. Do the best for your child..

You can take the nipple rings out while breastfeeding. It will make it better for all parties involved. I breastfeed for 6 weeks and had mine out the whole time and had no problem getting them back in when I was done! Good luck!

You can breastfeed for any amount of time. lol
6 months is the recommended minimum. 2 years is best  

Should be fine, of course remove the ring before feeding.

You don't want to breastfeed because it will make you "ugly looking"?
Did I read that right?
