I found the spinal painful.   Maybe i just got a bad spinal but it def hurt. Hope this next one is better. =/

with mine they had to do it twice, the first time only half of me was numb. For me I hated the epidural. The fact that i couldnt walk around was miserable. With the spinal i was feeling my legs in like 2hours or so. It was nice.

I had a very traumatic vaginal birth with my son, tearing and he came out not breathing due to the fact that he was stuck in the vaginal canal ingesting amniotic fluid bc my doctor had scheduled me for a c-section but the house doctor told me it wasn't necessary and made me deliver vaginally. With my daughter I had a c-section at 36 weeks bc I went into labor early and she turned breech with the umbilical cord around her neck. The birth went flawlessly and my recovery rate was amazing most days I didn't even need my pain meds. With this baby I opted for a c-section bc it will be easier on my body and my husband is only home for the birth so we had to plan the birth for him to be here. this is our last child!

Hi ladies
I had my first c-section on October 18, 2010
and my second is scheduled for May 7, 2013.
My c-section was traumatic because I had a bad reaction to the spinal. Felt like someone was sitting on my chest and even blacked out. Had to be given Versed to calm me down. They said I might feel pressure but I felt nothing. When they said "She's out!" I was like "Really?". Didn't even realize they had cut me.
Recovery from it wasn't too bad though. Was pretty much all good to go by a few weeks PP.
This time my OB is sedating me during the c-section to prevent the reaction I had the first time.

I'm due July 26th and because of my car accident back in 2011 pelvic fractures my ob said its very possible for me to get a c section and frankly I'm scared. Ik if my pelvis healed well or not and no one will tell me anything about it so my guess is when the time comes for the baby he or she will come out however way it wants to.

This will be my third c-section and honestly even though I am only 12 weeks I am totally ready for it. My first two were amazing and I can only assume that this one will be the same. The only difference is that I will be having a different doctor this time around. The only thing that ever makes me nervous is the spinal but I cry when I get blood drawn so thats just me being a big baby. I really love having c-sections though they are much easier in my opinion and WAY faster. My first was actually medically necessary my daughter flipped breech two weeks before she was due. And then with my son I was to freaked out to try a VBAC!! I feel that every woman needs to do what feels right for them.

My first C-section was Sept 11' and it was the scariest thing in my life! Mine was an emergency because the cord was in a knot and my son's heart rate drop dramatically. They started cutting before I was even numb and I felt every little pain! It was horrible! I passed out and blacked out from being in so much pain and I was completely loopy and didn't know I had my son till 5 hours after! However the recovery was AMAZING and the day after leaving the hospital me, my hubs, son, and family was out walking downtown 6 miles! I wasn't hurting or anything and didn't need any pain meds.
I'm having my second C-section this coming Friday(22nd) and I am soo nervous about it. The only reason I am having it is because I am so scared to do a V-birth since there is only 18 months apart from the pregnancies. I opted for a c-section because I didn't want to take any chances of something happening to my 2nd son during birth. And as of right now he is having a difficult time dropping and not wanting to get into position. I'm dilated 4.5cm but he isn't in locked position. So they said they don't think I could have a normal birth even if I wanted to. :/ We'll see how it goes thou!

I'm having my second c-section on May 7 at 12P.M.
My two year old daughter had a rapid drop in heart rate

for no real reason that my OB could find, but a c-section was done insted of an induction because of it.
Good luck and congrats.

i had an emergency C-Section on 3/2/2013 and I must say my dr did an amazing job, I got my spinal at 6pm, my support person came in the OR at 6:05pm and my son was born at 6:18pm. My dr had me closed up by 6:37pm. The recovery has been amazing, if I have another child, I will definately be getting another C-Section. I was totally terrified but it went 100000x better then I thought it would.

This is exactly what scared mom's facing a first time c-section need to hear.
I was terrified when I had mine, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
I'm having my second c-section on May 7, 2013.
