The pain thing i can relate to, my dr and my mom and my SO all thought i was crazy that the pain i was feeling was normal finally one of the drs sent me to the hospital and they found that i had an infection and had to induce me. I had to have an emergency c-section because DS couldnt take the contractions.

When i was pregnant with my first i started to have contractions on the Wednesday and waters broke on the Thursday i was not dilating so they told me to come back on the Saturday morning to be induced if i had not dilated anymore. when i had turned up that morning i had dilated to 4cm and was taken to the labor ward, by lunch i was still not dilating allot i ended up having to be put on a drip to try and induce me and also had an epidural as i could no longer cope with the pain. By about 6 pm i had an infection and then had to be put on another paracetamol drip, then my daughters heart beat kept dropping so they then had to put a needle in the top of her head to check she had anuff oxygen, by about 7pm they said i will have to have an emergency c section, at this time my partner was really panic in i had to be the one who kept it together asoon as he left to get his scrubs on my hole body started to shake i think partly because i was scared and never had an opperation before and because my body had soo many drugs in it. When they started to cut it was a weird feeling didnt hurt and didnt take long atall then i could hear some crying it was amazing, the only sad thing was i couldnt hold her strait away but my partner got to hold and was showing her to me whilst i got stitched up, now that did feel weird as they kept pushing down on my tummy it was making me sick but as i hadnt eating or drank anything nothing was coming out, i did have to laugh and keep apologizing to them for moving. they then moved me to a room were i could hold her just about after having both hands with drips in them, i managed to breast feed fine, but after that i she couldnt get any milk from me so in the end she was bottled fed. after 3 days in the hospital i got to go home, but i was in alot of pain i struggled to get out of bed and couldnt sneeze or coff with out the stitches hurting me, it took about 4weeks to fully recover. now i am 34weeks pregnant and i am going for a VAC i am worried about having a c section again but not for the fact of the opperation more so because of the recovery, I hope this dosnt scare anyone as both me and baby was fine thanks to c section it is scary, but when you get to hold your baby its all worth it and you keep smiling even when you are in pain!

Well I went in the 13th, 5 days prior to my scheduled c section, and the dr said because of my blood pressure sky rocketing and my swelling from head to toe that I needed to have my c section the next day. That night I actually sleep just fine with no nervousness or anything, but the morning of the c section I was so nervous. As they prepped me for surgery the only thing I kept wanting was my fiancé, which it seemed like they took forever before allowing him in there with me. I was nervous through the whole preparation as the nurses were along blood, explaining a spinal etc. when I finally got to the surgery room I remember it being cold and looking around to see about 20 nurses in the room. Finally they allowed my fiancé in and I immediately started crying in relief. I felt as if I couldn't breathe through the whole process but they assured me I was fine. About 20 minutes into surgery, there was my beautiful baby girl!! She had the most beautiful cry and was a beautiful baby. Recovery in the hospital was fairly easy. I felt fine afterwords and was back in the room with my baby girl and eating solid foods within about 2 hours. The pain was manageable because of morphine. Day 2 was okay and day 3 me and baby were released. It's been 6 days since I've been home and I'm on prescription meds. I've been sleeping on the couch so far since the bed is too high up. The pain is manageable but today has been just awful. I have been having to take 2 Vicodin at a time instead of 1 and the pain still won't go away and my feet body has been severely swollen for all 6 days. I ran a fever yesterday and had horrible pains. I have a follow up app tomorrow morning and am hoping there's no infection. Regardless of everything, the overall experience of a scheduled c section was much better than an emergency c section.

Was wondering if anyone could help me. I have had 2 prior sections and am now being scheduled for another. I want to experience a natural birth but my doctor wont except my wishes. Does anyone believe that it is possible to have a natural birth safely or if I should just accept the surgery for mine and the babies health???

Having my second C-section on Monday, I am very sad about it. I wanted a vbac, and I have a horrible experience with my first csection. I feel robbed, and angry. I know I need to get over it, but I am struggling with it today.

Yes, last time I had placenta previa, when I had my c-section, I felt like I couldn't breathe, I felt like there was an elephant sitting on my chest, I vomit on my husband while laying on the operating table, I was not able to hold my son for 48 after my c-section, he was taken to the nicu, and I was sent upstairs to recover, I have a bleeding disorder which needed treatment, I then continued vomiting from the pain and pain relievers which hurt my incision, and after surgery the gas or air from the surgery have me extreme pain in my chest and shoulder. Then my restum start falling out, and I had to have them surgical remove blood clots from my rectum. It was terrible.

I had a hard recovery, it took about a month to get better. My husband was deployed to Iraq at the time too, so I didn't have a lot of help.

Yesterday I found out that I am have my first herpes outbreak, and I have no antibodies. I am in shock, as I know my husband is faithful, and he has been my only partner for 6 years. The doctor said, he could have been a carrier, and because my immune system is low, and stress I just got it. I am crushed.

With my first son I was a week over due, got induced was in labor for 52 hours. Babies heartrate dropped very low and I was rushed in for an emergency c section. In my opinion, the emergency one was way way worse then my 2 planned after that. My pelvis is too narrow and now Ive had 3 sections and my 4th and last will be in february! I hope I bounce back quickly like the last 3.

My Dr. Told me after having one C-section they recommend you have all them that way but that theirs no harm in trying and that no one could ever say for sure you could never have a natural birth. He told me the worse that could happen is another emergancy C-section and that he didnt recommend natural labor but if I wanted to try he wouldnt blame me. Your situation could be different though. Idk.

I loved my C-section too! As a matter of fact I'm having another one. But I still don't think theirs any harm in trying natural birth if you want to. I think every doctor has a different oppinion. I was told the only risk of that was if you had babies too close together.. kinda like in my case because my sons only a year old and I'm 6months pregnant because everything not had enough time to heal and go back in place. But my doctor told me if I still wanted to try natural labor he wouldnt object. My first C-section took forever... I just hope this one doesn't take as long.   Mine took like 2 or 2 1/2 hrs I can't remember but everyone was getting impatient.
