a c section is not as bad as what you may have interrupted throughout these pages. i cant speak for everyone who has had a c section, but personally, i enjoyed all 3 of mine. both the procedure, and the healing weren't as horrible as i had imagined. the thought of surgery in itself is scary, but i promise if you do have to deliver via c section, you will be ok!!

Even though our first was an emergency c-section, I scheduled this one for a c-section too...it is really not that bad! They were able to assess our daughter there in the OR and she stayed with hubby and I in the recovery room until we went to my room. I was up pretty much immediately, showered within 24 hours and felt so good that they discharged me at 48 hours post-op. I like knowing when, where, how, etc...now that I said this, watch our son decide to come early...

I tell everyone that is scared about it that it's going to surprise you how easy it was. It's scary because it is surgery but if you keep your thoughts on baby, it will seem less intimidating!

i had my csection Monday!
I couldnt of had a better most amazing experience!!!
It was full of laughter, tears, and smiles all in the OR.
My doctor wasnt the serious kind where your uncomfortable, and
only thinking about your surgery, but kept me smiling throughout the process.
My incision was closed with dermabond which is a skin binding glue. Which has healed nicely. Its still a little hard to get in and out of bed, and if I am to walk too much I start to become sore, but all in all. It wasnt as SCARY as I thought it would be.

Thanks ladies for helping me with my questions and fears when i came to the thread.

I have a question. After having one c-section, when they do the next do they cut open the same incision, or do they make a new one?
