I know I don't post much, but I try to keep up with this thread. But I also realized that no one really knows me, so here's a little about me  

My name is Ashley, I'm 21 and this is my first baby. I plan on breastfeeding my son for at least a year, but am now looking into child-led weaning, so maybe 2-3 years. I don't CIO, I co-sleep a few times a day, and I spend WAY too much money on my lil guy lol.

Hope everyone has a awesome 4th of July.

We are heading to camp for the day I can't wait it has been a long time since we have been to camp  

Hopefully the water is warm enough so we can bring Hunter in.

Oh honey, I know, Gavin uses me as his paci, and some days they get more than their share of work. Is there a Children's Hospital anywhere close to you? I would be that mom who took my kid there if the local docs were too big of an idiot to figure it out. The nearest place like that to us is the Mayo Clinic, about 5 hours away, but worth the drive to get a straight answer. Trust your mama instincts! If you know something is wrong, keep barking till someone listens! You sound like you are keeping a good head about it, I think I'd be a mess. I hope she feels better soon. I'm still praying for her, and all of you!

Your pictures are great, and your boy is handsome! Thanks for sharing with us. I love seeing nursing pics, it does capture such a neat moment of bonding time between baby and mom. I'm not weird or what not, but it really portrays a special time. Thanks for updating us!

well we had been to the childrens dept of the hosiptal an hour away on thursday night for 7 hours, they did bloodwork & took cultures which they said would take 5 days to come back (they look at them everyday to see if anything is growing or whatnot) and then when the white blood count was so high they did Menegitis testing which came back negative. Since she was consolable (from my booby) they released us & said to follow up with her pedi. Well I had a phone conference with her dr fri morning & she said that first thing monday she would order ct scans & MRI's at our local hospital. She was hoping that Roanoke Memorial would've done them while we were there, but they didnt feel it was necessary to put her through any further prodding & I know how hard a CT scan is I had one when I was like 10 so I know its gonna be horrible for her.

I'm highly considering taking her back to Roanoke today if she doesnt show signs of getting at least a little better. Right now she's snoozing in her car seat since we just had to take Zeanna to her dad's. I'm surprised she's still sleepign she usually wont but all she's been doing it taking little cat naps.
I honestly have no clue what could be causing this.. She had been on Amoxicillan for 10 days for the ear infection, then was put on Cefdinir for 10 days (today is her last day of it) since the ear infection wasnt gone. I dont think it would be the antibiotics since she didnt get bad withthe fussing & wanting to be held constantly & swelling of soft spot until the evening of day 7 of the 2nd round of antibiotics.
I've considered pretty much everything & i'm searching up everything I can think of, even stuff that I dont want to be wrong with her, but just for the lists of symptoms. Ugh I dunno. My Uncle lost a baby to Leukemia but I dont think that's hereditary or anything, and thats mostly bllod related and only the fussy part is really a symptom of it I'm at whits end & I already told Brandon I WONT go back to work until they find out what's wrong with her. Her aunt just cant take care of her like I can, not saying she's no good, LOL, but she just wants her momma & I'm the only one that can comfort her. So fuck my job I'm pretty sure they will be okay with me taking time off, and since I will have drs notes, but I dont care if it takes 1 week or 2 months I'm not going back

if youve been at your job for more then a year it doesnt matter whether or not your job cares. you can take an FMLA leave. unless you took off 12 weeks after your LO was born, then you might have troubles.

i was off for 9 wks total 3 before I had her due to inability to work & 6 wks after she was born

So I made Kady a Pillowcase dress. Well I guess its really a long shirt. I did not have enough fabric so i had to make her wear capris with it. I stayed up til 4:30 working on it and finished it a little bit ago. All that work and she doesn't like it.

Yikes! I wish I had some miracle answer for you, but those symptoms are completely foreign to me. The wanting to be held, nursing for comfort and extreme fussiness with only cat naps sound like symptoms of teething. But you throw in her recent ear infection and the swelling of the soft spot and it can be something completely different. Odd that the hospital or doctor's office didn't seem too concerned simply because she was consolable via the breast. GRRR! Sometimes, even despite extreme issues, babies can be quieted at the breast because it reassures them that all will be right again.

I sure hope you figure out what's happening real soon and can get little Kyleigh back to her old happy self again. Will definitely be praying. Keep us posted! You're doing the right thing and you've got your mommy instincts on full alert.
