my sons coughing VERY bad!

does anyone know what i can do for my 1 1/2 ,month old for his cough?its soo bad and i know it hurts his little throat but the doctor wouldnt give me anything for him.i would try the steamy room thing but my bathroom is HUGE and it wont get steamy in there...

Have you tried a humidifier? It helps them a lot well at least it did with my son.

give him a little bit of water, that will help soothe his throat, make it feel a little better.

my dr told me that a cough is good. as long as he is coughing it is not settling in his lungs, if he wasnt coughing it could cause pnemonia (sp?)
