Vaseline as sex lube?

Well my husband looked it up and it said that it can be used as a lube in water. We are in need of one that can be used in water. Has anyone used just straight Vaseline as a sex lube? I'm worried it might cause some problems down there. It just seems weird. Or can someone recommend me a good one?

don't do it if you are using a condom... heard it doesn't go hand in hand w/ those... makes holes or something.  

Get a Ky jelly tube. I use it for buttsex.

I don't use KY, but I could try. We need oil based, which can't wash off in water. Is KY oil based?
