weighted hula hoops

does anyone have one, and if you do, how well has it been working for you?

my MIL told me about them...her hair stylist has one & has lost 2 inches off her waist!

i just ordered one, it will be here in about a week & i'm really excited about it!

where did you order one from? im interested in one?!

that's where i just ordered mine from. they have a $25 sale right now, with $8ish dollars shipping. which is WAY cheaper than i've found anywhere else. you can pick your colors & style (swirled look or braided look!). mine should be here by next week.  

i am trying to find an instructional video online that i can download, since i can't really afford to buy a DVD too...because they teach you how to hula hoop while leaning back to work your abs even more, on your arms, hips, thighs...

"hoop girl" who i guess started the whole phenomenon went from 180 lbs to 125 & is sooo toned!

i tried my MIL's the other day. i was HOOKED, lol. & my son just stared at me laughing, since they're bright colored he loved just staring at it while i hooped!

i got the first option on the drop down menu, since i'm 5'2" & 125-30 lbs. the taller or heavier you are, then you'd want to get the heavier & bigger hula hoop. i found a chart on a different website..let me see if i can find it for you!

OH & i was just reading that one minute of hooping is equivalent to jogging a 12 minute mile at 5 mph!   WOOHOO! lol

i didn't go with them for 2 reasons though. 1) they're more expensive, lol 2) i've heard that the hula hoops with the "wave" to them bruises your mid section.

lol I ordered the accu hoop 5lbs from that site, and it hurts. I need to get a stomach support but it does get you winded..and since the hula hoop mainly works your stomach and thighs you do loose inches. I've only used it a few times..mine hurts too much. a waste of 60 u.s.

OOOH I might have to get one hehe.. the curves I went to a long time ago had one, and OMG they were amazing, I think that contritubted(sp) to my 15 inches or so I lost there when I used to go, ow that I am going again, I may just have to get one...

that's why i just got a smooth weighted one!

awwwww yay! yeah, i loved the one brad's mom had, i'm really excited to do it! you & jess need to both get one & we can all do it together!!!  

sounds like fun but i can barely hula hoop so im sure either it would just drop to the ground or i would from the weight!lol

they're actually easier to keep up than the toy hula hoops because they're heavier. you'd be surprised! i hadn't hula hooped in years, & i was able to do my MIL's no problem! haha.
