12th week sonogram? can you find out the sex?

can you find out the sex of the baby when your only 12 weeks?

-everyone in my family thinks its a boy. and someone told me if im havin a boy then youll be able to see it this early?

Too early to tell.

At my 12 week ultrasound they didn't even TRY. Even if they make a guess, it wouldn't be reliable that early on.

Your baby barely has a sex at 12 weeks. Let alone visible parts. I'd vote no.

Yep its possible. I was 13 weeks and they said that she was pretty sure he was a boy and I got it confirmed at 21 weeks.

they could make a guess, but it wouldn't be a very accurate guess.

I'm pretty sure even girls look like boys at that point, that's what the ultrasound tech told me.

It's very unlikely.

I found out at 13 weeks 1 day. It's seriously unlikely that they would even think to tell you though. Most places won't.

Thats what I thought too but she said that she was pretty sure he was a boy. And come to find out at 21 weeks he was. I know she could have just made a guess since its only a 50-50 chance.

I was 12w5d and the perinatologist doing our nuchal translucency u/s told us he was SURE it was a boy - and the u/s pics were very clear. He said it's not common to tell thatearly and it reallydepends a lot on the level u/s machine you're using and boys are much easier to spot earlier on. Sure enough, he was born a boy!  

Well I found out at my ultrasound at 14 weeks 2 days, but I'm not going to run out and buy blue until my 20 week ultrasound. They could take a guess, but it wouldn't be very accurate at 12 weeks.

I found out at a perinatologist too. I'm pretty sure they are the only type of doctor that would have techs able to tell. Or willing to tell.

my sister in law found out at 12 weeks that she was having a girl...now she is like 24 weeks and hada 3d/4d ultrasound and it still showed girl parts

I'm almost 15 wks and today we saw a little boy clear as day. But it almost WASN'T visible. We just happened to get an amazing angle. But at my 12 wk we couldn't see anything.
