Birth Mom Support Thread

Hey Ladies.

I think it's about time we have our own support thread. I have run into a few amazing ladies on here who are birthmoms. I would like a place for us to share stories, support eachother through the heartache, and share our hopes and dreams for the future. We each have our own story, we each have different reasons why we chose to give our beautiful babies up for adoption.

This could also be a support thread for people who are considering adoption and would like to talk to people who have been through it.

If we have enough interest in this thread, I will ask Mara to sticky it.

I feel out of place on BG sometimes... I mean I don't have a kid (legally). She's not mine. I dont raise her everyday and experience her learning new things.

Well, I am not exactly in the same place as you. I have 2 other girls. But, I don't think many girls on here understand how hard it really is. Sometimes I feel like they think okay she gave them up and now they don't exist in her life you know!

I think it's a great idea.

I really want to adopt and I want to know why people do it.In order to assure the birth mom that I will be able to fulfill the things that they thought they might not be able too. If that makes sense.

I am pregnant now... so I kinda feel like I have a reason to be here... but up until like 3 days ago. I felt out of place. I mean I have a few ladies on here I talk with about it....but other than that... i just feel awkward.

I signed the papers On March 11th. When I chose who I wanted I based it on if I could be the perfect mom what would I have to do...and then whoever came closest to what I wanted and had the same beliefs as far as letting the boys know where they come from and such

Just the conjoined twins...no triplets!!! LOL
