lol.. it started as august due date moms,.. then when we moved out of prego section to parents with infants, .. we had some of our moms go early in july and some late in sept.. and didn't want to lose any of our moms.. so we made it all 3 months.. and shortened it to JAS08 .. My friend Amanda ( http://members.baby-gaga.com/member475608 ) has an open adoption and is very open to sharing her story with other women considering adoption. I am good friends with the woman who helped her find a family. I would love to give her information to anyone that needs it.

And I think you are right. Mothers considering adoption deserve their own forum! They go through a LOT!!

I posted this same thought a little while back and even messaged Mara about it with no response. It seems weird for Adoption to be with TTC. I think she put it more as women TTC or Adopt and wasn't thinking about us birthmoms out there. I gave my first child, a son, up for adoption over 12 years ago. I had been with his father for over two years when I got pregnant, but I knew he wasn't interested in sticking around and even if he did I realized he wasn't a person I wanted to have an influence on my son's life. It was the hardest time in my life and I cried more often than not. I still miss my son so much so times, but I know that both of our lives are better- he has two parents who love each other and him and even a big sister and in less than 6 years he will be old enough for us to meet again.

Well, the members recently got an Abortion Survivors group, and the other "option" that always seems to comes up is adoption. I think you should petition for it's own forum, because it only makes sense, doesn't it? That way the information can be easy to access.

If adoption has it's own forum though, you will get prospective adoptive parents coming to it as well. I wonder if the site owners just worry about it becoming a place for the PAP's to "market" themselves. I guess if they wanted to do that they could have their own thread.

Amanda Ella Loves you and will not resent you!! or any of you mama's.. that girl is stupid and has no heart and I sent her a PM and put a few things in perspective and I hope she listens and removes her posts!... for M's sake.. and everyone else.. that thread was not meant for arguements and negativity..
