Quoting J. Fierro *BMM*:“ Hi everyone I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Jessica I have a little boy 15mos. Miguel who ... [snip!] ... 15mos. Miguel who happens to have Down Syndrome. I think he's the best thing since sliced bread. LOL. He is to cute for words.”

Your picture is so precious. You have yourself a very handsome boy!

I feel like such a dork because I completely forgot about this thread. Quick update, Lincoln is walking around in walker more and more and he will actually walk up 4 steps with a little assistance and hand holding. He'll also (finally) walk while holding your hands. It's so amazing to see him do this finally. I can't wait until he's chasing his sister around the house.

We have had to deal with "thinking" our baby boy has downs. I'm 22 years old and this is our 3rd child. We did the routine quad screen that tests for downs and spina bifida, with that test came back abnormal they rushed me in for an emergency ultrasound. When I finally saw my Dr she told me spina was ruled out and that my results from blood work show high risk for downs, she then reffered me to a high risk Dr where they did a level 2 utrasound, offered and amnio and another alternative called The harmony. We opted out of the amnio due to the risks and did the harmony, according to the results we are low risk for downs but they have not completely ruled it out. We are just waiting until our baby boy is here to find out what the lord up above is blessing us with. It was very hard for me to accept at first and I still have my moments where I break down and cry but I know the lord doesn't give anyone anything they cannot handle. I also believe he gives special children to special mothers. Overall, we are still excited about our baby boy for he is OURS, we can't wait to meet him. I see your post was posted in May, can you give me an update?

hi im 17wks along now and they have already ruled that our baby boy is going to be born with down syndrome, i know all of you know someone or have went through this yourself, however we are keeping him no matter what, how did you or the ppl you know deal with these waves of emotions?!? I cant even begin to describe the emotions i go through the thoughts that bug me at night, i know its just hormones and i guess im just sca red, and very new to opening up to others. Trying to be bigger than myself and get some outside perspectives. Or resources. Thanks <3.

I think everyone goes through those. But there is NOTHING wrong with that, and there is NOTHING wrong with your little boy, he will surprise you in so many ways   We found out our second daughter had DS at birth, and she is now almost 5 months old and I just love her to bits!
