For parents who DON'T breastfeed.

For parents who DON'T breastfeed. I have nothing against people who prefer to feed your baby formula. I exclusively breastfeed, and willBF until she is about a year old.My question is for those who don't breastfeed - why did you make the decision to not breastfeed?

My boobs made the decision for me. They wouldn't cooperate.  

I didn't make enough milk, I'm sure that has something to do the breast reconstruction surgery i had. My dr was suprised I made any at all.

my nipples inverted and the lactation consult told me that was it for me.. there was no fixing it... Dumb bitch.. Luckily though, we found out 2 days later that I had a severe infection in my body that could really hurt damien. So i think i made the better choice.. For sure.

my milk wouldnt store and i had to go back to work- after she got the bottle, she rejected the breast

i would like to know how this is any of your business

It was either breastfeed or my son possibly have health issues. The medication I take on a daily basis is not safe for my kids to consume.

Ditto, some of us have that decision made for them.....

i DO breastfeed, but I remember a girl on here that saidshe wasn't gonna breastfeed because it was incestious and nasty.   she's right. we only have breasts for mens pleasure.. that is all.

i did for 6 weeks then i went on bc and my doctor didnt tell me it would stop my milk supply so formula we had to go. and it suxs.

i was only able to breastfeed for about 3 weeks because i got cellulitis in my right breast. I tried pumping but my milk completly dried up. My doctor said my milk never fully came in.

Wellllll ... with my first son, I was never-ever able to get him to latch on. I have flat nipples, and was 20 years old, and never got any good lactation help at the hospital. They gave me a 24/7 helpline number to call if I needed help after I got home - I tried to call it and I remember no one ever answered! So, I was crushed. The baby (he's now almost 9 years old!) would scream and scream and scream, and he only latched on ONE TIME in all of my attempts. So, I finally gave up. It made me feel AWFUL; I cried about it all the time.

So, with this little boy, I got a LOT of lactation assistance. Plus, this baby is a lot more laid back and didn't cry at all through all of our attempts at feeding ... I think breastfeeding is one of the BEST things I've ever done in my entire life! Yay!

i have a horrible diet and would be worried that shes not getting enough nutrients. I also have to take medication that she is allergic to. ive had to stop taking the medication while pregnant but cannot keep going without it, so an allergy test needs to be done while shes in the hospital to see if thats what was causing the reaction and if it is i have to formula feed
