What is more fucked up about it is, that when Corydon was hit last week, they did not get a siren either.

So why are all these Sirens busting as soon as one touches down?

Thats what I dont get. Sirens are made for a certain reason. To help prevent deaths. So ppl can take shelter way ahead of time.

Here in my area. The beginning of spring season. Our sirens go off through out the day. On a certain day. They do testing. Thats a good thing. Making sure it actually works etc.

I think they either need to fix the sirens check em all through out the whole state. Do a day of testing.

They test ours every friday at noon.

But how come they still miss when something happens?

I have no clue.
Its sad, so many deaths happen each year. So many through out tornado season. And something doesnt click with the ppl in charge of making sure the sirens work properly. 

Something like a   should dawn on them by now. Also since its 2009, not 1860.

I didn't take these, but this is my town during one of the storms a year or so ago;



We were out of power for three days, some for some people it took 4 weeks to get their power back.

Remember when IKES winds hit us.??? Some ppl were w.out power for up to 5 wks. Luckly I was out only for 1 day.
It was so horrible ....seeing what 80 MPH winds did to us that day. And these winds happend all day long. I could only imagine, the storm that hit texas and the other states below us. And the full affect........We only got the tip of the ice berg.

Thank goodness right? I felt so bad for ppl that were w.out it for wks. My friend Sally was out for a wk and a half.

I live in Nebraska. I was born and raised in Kansas, so I've had to deal with them all my life. They still scare the crap out of me.
