FF Charts....

posted 31st Mar '09
Tips for charting successfully!

1. Use a BBT thermometer - a regular one is not accurate enough. Walmart, Target and Walgreen's all sell them for relatively cheap! They are usually in the condom area

2. Take your temp at the same time every morning. Yes this is difficult at first, but the more you do it, the more of a habit it becomes! Try setting your cell alarm and keep your therm on your night stand, eventually you will reach for it before your eyes are open.

3. It must be a resting temp - if you get up and walk around it's no longer accurate. Don't even bother taking it, just skip that day.

4. What if you wake up before your normal time? That is fine,
enter the temp as normal but put a note for the time you took it and FF will mark it with an open circle. What if you wake up after your normal time? Again that's fine - mark it as such. There is a third option for this, use the FF "adjust your temp" program - this is only suggested if you have three or more cycles charted. FF uses YOUR normal temp variations to determine what it "should" have been - if you have less than three cycles, simply make a note of it, do not adjust your temp.

5. Temping during AF? Some of us do to keep up in the habit, some of us don't and use it as a break. Suggestion: do not enter those temps in FF (or discard them) - there is no rhyme or reason to your temps during AF - they are typically unstable and have no meaning in the general chart reading. In fact they often throw off FF showing artificially higher temps.

6. Do not discard temps simply because they don't look right, you can't pick and choose to make your chart more attractive

7. Ask questions, we are here to help!!

It's lookin good! I follow charts all the time like that cause i'm a noob, haha. But, I just looked at your last months chart, and I'm sorry to see the + followed by cycle #2   Anyway, I think it's very likely that you'll conceive this month!

don't get thrown by that chart I have that one up there because that was with my daughter and I like to compare my charts with the chart I got pregnant with (to see if there are going to be similarities, and if I have hope for the specified month ) my actual miscarriage chart had 3 days of spotting on it starting at 6 DPO. Yeah we were saved Jan. 06' from drugs, alcohol, sex, and fighting when we found Christ!!!

It looks by the CM, cervix, and other temps that might be your O" ...I will have to follow your charts you will probably be testing around when I test....this is going to be so fun being able to follow someone elses chart and see what the results will be...I give you lots of baby dust!

Well i'm so glad to hear that you are better for God. Christianity and a reallll realtionship with Christ is so important and so awesome, and I'm very happy for you. And that's a really good idea there, having your chart fromyour duaghter up to compare!! That's kinda cool! Being able to compare them like that...

So... was the spotting from a chemical pregnancy, or were you a few weeks along when you lost your angel baby? (Hope that's not too forward, i can never tell after I've had a gin and tonic  )

yea, it's soooo hard to telll!! I'm thinking about discarding the "high" temp instead of the lower one....... they were BOTH taken at awkward times, and so i should probably discard BOTH of them, but I chose the lower one cause my boobs were starting to hurt a little and i thought that the timing of it meant i should throw out the lower one.... Idk.... I'll probably decide tomorrow which one i'm going to keep, based on what symptoms i have and what my temp is!   Thank you for your inturpretation!

also,i temp vaginally, and that typically gives at LEAST one degree higher temps than orally.... plus the sun is RIGHT on our bed in the morning, AND previously being on depo makes it higher....

yeah it seems that hardly anyone charts I figured there might have been a few more who would like to join this thread and compare charts but oh well its still fun to compare even if there is only one other chart  .....what part of MN you from?? Do you temp at different times every morning, is that why it is so wacky??

I live near mankato   I work nights full time and temp usually at around 3pm when i get up, but then my days off i have to temp at 7am when my son gets up. this month has been really goofy due to Cameron being sick and me not getting any sleep for a couple days so i had no sleep time to temp after. Charting has been a real challenge for me LOL
