Eeeeek!!!! Had my NT scan today. Got some good nub shots (she gave me a printout of the not as awesome angle as the others) and she also took a few potty smurfs of which I have mo printouts. On the potty shots there were three lines/dots angled inward pointing toward the butt, suggestive of a girl. On the three nub angles we saw/measured the angle was no greater than 10 degrees on one and totally parallel on the other two, suggesting girl. The profile views of the skull show it fully rounded down into the nasal bones, also suggestive of a girl. The tech said she estimates 70% chance of girl, but then told me she wouldn't buy anything tet because I'm only 12 weeks and there is no way to be definite on an ultrasound at this point. I'm starting to get really excited about my great odds for girl, which of course means I'll probably be crushed if they are wrong.

my guess would also be girl but I have found from researching this nub theory thing that the later in the 12 week and early 13th week it seem either more girly or boyish which has better results. My scan was at 12wks 5days baby was measuring 12wks 2 days though so I go by that and looked similar to yours. But really this early it still could go either way which stinks! I kinda wish I would have waited 3-4 days at least to do the scan, but I guess we will find out soon enough right!!! Good Luck getting your baby girl! =0) I don't really have a desire for one or the other I'm just feeling ours is a girl! =0)

Here they gave me the lab printout from my first trimester screen this time instead if just telling me numbers. Apparently my hCG level was in the 95th percentile for gestational age and my PAPP-A was in the 99th percentile. With RJ both were in the 30s and with Brighton both were in the 50s. A few different studies have been done that show after the 6th week of pregnancy hormones are on average 15%-25% higher with girl babies. My doctor was sure to point that out to me again. He's pushing hard on the whole "it's a girl" thing. I swear they are all going to be in so much trouble if they are wrong and I just turn out to be a freak of nature again. I posted the nub shot on a gender website and have mixed answers. I've got more girl votes than boy though and the US tech that posts on there said 60/40 girl because the nub is long. Ummm......okay, but I thought it was all about the angle and it's clearly not 30 degrees or more.

I've noticed that too. They did toilet shots too and the tech said it's looking to be girly that way too because the three lines make a V pointing at the butt instead of a V pointing away from the body. It's too early for that to be accurate though. On the screen with all the ways we saw the nub it never ended up pointing anywhere but straight out from the body. Some of the shots she got were better than my printout, but that one had a better overall view of the baby. I wish I could just know for sure instead of having to wait and it's making me crazy. I don't need an amnio this time unless I want to, so I'm debating about an elective scan in 3-4 weeks. Otherwise my anatomy scan is April 12.

I have noticed that alot of the techs and pro do look at the tip of the nub alot as well. That was the only thing that kind of had me wondering on yours since the tip is rising up a little and being early makes me wonder if it could just be to early for it to be higher... hopefully not. I did post your pic on ingender.com to see what those ladies had to say about it since it seems like alot of them know their stuff and I know you really really want your girl. I hope you don't mind I did crop it so no info was on the pic. So far it seems like it's mixed as well there with a 6/2 mostly girl guesses! Praying you see pink it a few weeks I think I am more excited for you to find out than me! haha =0)
