So Michelle works at my job - one day a week. She used to work 2 for whatever reason but now it's down to 1.. Mondays only because she has another full time job.

I can tell you right now the only reason she works 1 day a week is so that she can tan on any equipment for free (a $100 value per month)...

John, my manager, and I were sitting down talking the other day. He's sad that I am being promoted and moved to another store. He says he wishes he could have just given me full time hours so I could stay with him. When I brought up the fact that I could have gotten those hours needed if Michelle didn't work 1 day a week, we got to talking about her. Basically he let it spill that she found out how much I was being paid per hour and was butthurt that I was making more than her. (I got hired on at my old rate I was being payed two years ago.)

I asked how the hell she found that out. He said that she told him I volunteered that info to her.

Urm.. no, I don't ever discuss my pay rate.

So, she always chooses to come in to tan about 30 minutes til close. (15-20 minutes in a bed, and then spray tan.) Which would be fine if she didn't procrastinate and chat it up. So I asked her nicely, "Michelle, if you don't mind could you try to hurry so I can get out of here at a decent time?"

She snaps back with, "Um, don't tell me what to fucking do. Right now isn't the best time, Alex. I'm PMSing or whatever and besides, I need to talk to Randy when he gets out of his bed."

I said, "Ok, sorry. But if you are going to have a negative attitude don't bring it in here to me."

She thought that meant, "don't tan." and started going off about that. No, I never said don't tan, I said don't bring your negative attitude in to me. So.. I asked, "While you are waiting, can I ask you a question. Did I ever tell you my hourly rate. Because I could have sworn I never discuss that with anyone."

She said, "Yes, you did."

I laughed and said, "No, I don't discuss it with anyone. So how did you know how much I was being payed?"

She comes back with, "Why are you confronting me about payroll? This is something that should be discussed with your manager. I'm sorry if you're butthurt about not getting a raise, but I worked my ass off for a year to get the raise I just got. And those drawers in the back room have everyones file, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how much someone is getting payed."

First of all, thanks for volunteering the information that you went through MY EMPLOYEE FILE, My personal info, I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to be sticking your nose in it.
Second of all, Butthurt? No, I got a pay raise after 6 months with the company. Sorry it took you a year, and you had to throw the fact that me, someone who just got hired back on and is 11 years younger than you is getting paid more to finally get the rasie you DIDN'T DESERVE. And lastly, Um.. promotion. I haz it. I get a pay raise with that too. So uhh..

Basically, what I'm getting at. Is this bitch went through my file at work, and used that against John, our manager, to get a pay raise. And she's only working 1 day a week.. and she doesn't give a fuck about our company, she just wants to maintain employee status to tan for free.

And this bitch kept going on and on getting in my face. I told her we were done discussing it and she baracaded me into a room.. I told her to get out of my face, go tan and be done with it and she said, "Don't you fucking tell me what to do, I'll tan when I damn well want to and the more you tell me what to do the more I'm going to take my sweet ass time. I fucking work here, I can tan whenever I damn well please."

"Again Michelle, fine, go tan, don't tan.. up to you. Just get out of my face."

So the childish bitch spread lotion all over the wall and dirtied up the room.

I called John and he was drunk and this is what he told me,

"Alex, I'm a little drunk so truthfully I can't comprehend everything that you said happened. But I will tell you this. Between you and Michelle, I've got YOUR back 100%. I love having you as an employee, I love what you do for the company. And frankly Michelle is a bitch. I know how she is. Come see me tomorrow morning and we will talk about this. We will ruin that bitch. I want to let her go, I just need to find the right way and time to do it. I can't do it anytime soon because then she will know you had something to do with her being let go. So give her about 2 or 3 more weeks. After you've been training in your new store for about a week or so, I'll lay it on her. But I love you babe.. You're my girl." (He's gay, I lub him.)

How did she get to employee files? they aren't locked up? Ours are. why does she need a raise if she works one day a week? I assume that its not paying her bills LOL.
