Sudden decrease in breast tenderness?

posted 24th Mar '09
I'm 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I woke up this morning with my breast tenderness just about gone. I'm trying to make a dr. appointment today to get my HCG checked, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this so early on in pregnancy. I read that often, this means the beginning of a miscarriage. Is that always true? Sorry if this is a stupid question. This is my first pregnancy.

its about a 90% chance that your just luckyand your boobs arent going to hurt much mroe. take advantage and go braless now because it'll be back and then you wont even be able to turn over without wanting to cut your own boobs off!

its comes and goes for most people, especially in early pregnancy, it doesnt mean much..... when someone miscarries, it takes a while for their body to recognize it so it continues to produce hormones, so something like tenderness stopping for a bit doesnt mean much at all!!! could be worse..... for the last few months, when mine hurt, its only one at a time.... thats a little weird ;) no worries momma, youre fine!

Well, the doctors recommended against even getting the blood test because it's so early, that even if something is wrong, nothing could be done. My best friend said that this happened with both of her pregnancies and everything was fine. Hopefully, this is just a normal fluctuation of my hormones or something. I'm just praying that everything is ok.

I'm due on the same day as you. All of my pg symptoms have been pretty mild. Whatever breast tenderness/sensitivity I had during the 2ww is basically gone, but it was never major to begin with. I did another pee test a couple days ago and got a really strong line. And my other "symptom" of being able to smell things is still there, though not exactly like it used to be.

I read that it's totally normal. If you had really strong symptoms (like heavy nausea and very tender breasts and then you lost ALL your symptoms, that would be one thing, but if you're just "having a good day", then there's nothing to worry about. I have my first dr's appt. on Monday (6w 2d).

Try not to stress yourselfout worrying about it at this stage. I've had a few failed pregnancies, and am finally having a viable pregnancy with few complications.

Everytime, I've found that symptoms can come and go. Sometimes I've had wicked morning sickness, other days it's not even a consideration. My breasts will ache and feel like they are about to burst, and then another day I barely notice they are there.

I wish you the best with the situation, and pray it all works out well for you.
