Warming Breastmilk on the Go Question

posted 23rd Mar
I excusively breastfeed my son and I am getting ready to go on an 8 hour road trip and there isn't always somewhere to pull over to feed him, so I am planning on bringing some breastmilk and bottles along. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on how I would heat the chilled breastmilk in the car. I have looked into the bottle warmers for in the car, but they have tons of bad reviews and have been known to take 30+ minutes to heat a bottle.

I need help! So, any advice on how to do this would definitely be appreciated!

Turn the heat on and put the milk up to it.
Some conveinent stores have hot water dispensers near the coffee. Or you could run it under the bathroom sink.

I use a very small cooler with ice to keep them cold, then always stop at a coffee shop and ask for a cup with half hot water in and place the bottle in there. I dont know if you have a spot to stop to get hot water, but maybe even get one of those things that is run by a batter but has plugs in the side and bring a kettle and water to boil? hahaha

also at walmart for 20 dollars you can get an adapter for the cigarette lighter that allows you to use a regular plug and then you can use a regular bottle warmer.

Are you driving? If someone else is available to drive, you could use your hand pump or plug your electric pump into the adapter and pump a bottle and then turn around and feed him a freshly-pumped bottle. I did that when we took road trips when our kids were nursing.
