This happened to me at 06hoo in the morning on the day my little girl was born and she was born at 23h45 the same day. Pain only beca$e unbearable at 19h30 that day.... You probably will have your baby in your arms within the next 24 hours... GOODLUCK!

I am a VBAC so natural birth is a completely new thing for me, as we new my first son was a c section. I switched from a regular OB to a midwife. She told me to put everything I want into my birth plan. If if I think it is something stupid and small, to put it in my plan. Taking the time to figure out what I want means that I am thinking about it. The more I think about it and ingrain it into my mind, the more I will be willing to stick to it, because it is my plan and has been for months. No reason to change it just because I am in pain.

I have had 2 c-sections. I tried for a vback with my second but it just did't happen. I am now due October 1st with my 3rd one and the doctors have approved me for another vbac. I want this so bad so that I can experiance actual labor for this is my last kid. I am also kind of scared not sure if I will know what to do is what's going through my head now. I want to do it naturally with no epidural but not sure if I can. I guess I really won't know until the day comes.

Welcome to the thread! Sounds like a good birth plan. I was also helped tremendously in my journey to home birth by an aunt's birth experience--very fast hospital births with no pain medication. I knew I could do it, because she did and it was normal to me.   It helps a lot to have a birth "mentor"...

Hey ladies! I am extremely excited about this birth,
I am planning (and I will) on going unmedicated, but in the hospital. I have support from my husband with is very important to me. I was looking to see if anyone has any advice in pain managing? Any advice in general would be amazing.

Joining the thread. I'm pregnant with my 3rd. Find out this Wednesday if it'll be my 3rd girl or if we'll get a boy this time. I'm thinking it might be another girl, but we shall see. Anyway, had both my girls naturally with no drugs or anesthesia and both in the hospital. My first is 8yrs (almost 9) and my second is almost 2yrs old. The first birth went better than the second. I thought the 2nd was not a good experience at all and frankly didn't want to ever have another baby, but oops, here we are today. I've come to terms with things and decided that I wanted a different type of experience. Last time I wished for a birthing center but that whole idea was really not cool with my boyfriend. This time I chose a happy medium. I found a group of nurse-midwives who do everything the docs do and deliver in the hospital but they are still midwives and do things differently. I wanted more freedom in my labor and delivery. With the midwives, I will have that. I am really hoping for a much better experience this time, because I hope to make it my last. 3 kids is more than enough for us.

Oh yeah and for all you first timers out there who will deliver in the hospital with a doc and want to try for unmedicated, my advice would be to wait as long as you can before going in to the hospital. I did that with both of mine. The 1st I had within 2 hours of arriving and the 2nd I had within 3 hours of arriving. A lot of hospitals and docs insist on strapping you to the fetal monitor, so they want you in the bed. I hate this. I do not want to labor lying in the bed. That was a big thing for me that I wanted different this time. The other big thing was I didn't want to give birth with my knees pushed up to my head. Ok not conducive to pushing baby out well!   This time I'm going to see which birthing position is most comfortable for me and my nurse-midwives are totally supportive of this (yay)! Self hypnosis can work also (for pain). Working with relaxation and hypnosis (type) things can help a lot for the pain. A good support person who knows what is coming and knows how to make you relax is also very good to have.

I plan to go naturally in November. I am a VBAC as well. We really wanted to homebirth, but my family was not supportive. They said they would prefer me to VBAC in a hospital. So I am. When this goes well, I will plan a home birth for my next pregnancy regardless of what people have to say about it
