I agree with you. I wanted to be left alone when I labored with my son. People being around me just pissed me off. Like it seriously made me wanna scream. I liked my peace and even though nobody really touched me or anything, but they kept talking to me and telling me what i "should" be doing while in labor. I said screw it and walked out the front door and sat in my front yard and labored there lol

lol im about to just do it alone as well. i feel as if they dont know how to respect what i want then they dont need to be there or around me with all the negative talk. i want this to be special and something i remember as a lovely yet i know it will be painful time in my life. this is my miracle baby i was told i couldnt have kids and i ended up pregnant just two months after i had surgery. i found out back in feb that i had cervical cancer but im cancer free and everything is going good. and me wanting a natural birth is something i want to do on my own. this is my miracle baby and i refuse to let anyone ruin me enjoying my pregnancy or labor..

Figured I'd come here and ask... Does anyone know where I can find a natural birth or home birth siggy?  

I had a natural delivery with DD and loved it... So why am I so scared to do it again?? Lol

I was planning to VBAC at home but my SO just couldnt get comfortable with it. So we will be having a VBAC naturally at the hospital. I am terrified. I only have one LO and it was a scheduled C Section, so I have zero idea what to expect.

i am having my first child hopefully very soon and my goal is to do it all natural as well. my theory is if women have been doing this for THIS long without doctors controlling the situation, why shouldn't they continue? we were made to do this, i am very nervous though. maybe it's the horror stories that people keep feeding me or jsut the fear of the unknown. i'm not sure. does anyone who has been through natural labor and delivery have any advice to cam my nerves? thanks. :-/

My sister has labored both in the hospital the majority of the time, and then she stayed home as long as possible then drove to the hospital. She said that staying home was the best thing she could have done. She was so out of her comfort zone, that everything seemed so much worse. all the people in and out stressed her out even more. She said that the best thing for her was getting to a certain point where she new she should make her way to the hospital, then instead of laboring inside, she walked along the outside off the hospital. This allowed her to be out in fresh air, and not in a cramped little room, as well as had her close enough to the hospital that should could get inside quickly if needed.

I had a completly natural birth but it wasnt planned ha.My baby girl was 12 days early and on the day she decided to come i was sitting on the sofa watching tv and went in to labour extremly quick by the time my waters and my first contraction had happened i was on the phone to my parents as i was home alone i ended up getting rushed to hospital in an ambulance and exactly 12 minutes after being placed on the bed i gave birth to my daughter no pain med no preperation they doctors didn even have a chart for me. I wouldn change a thing about it tho because i would have given in to the pain if i knew what was coming and im glad i did it naturally

Congrats lol I hope it happens like that for me where I shoot the baby out like a bullet   either way being in that warm water I know will help tremendously I'm so smurfin excited! haha

My little girl is 9 weeks now and I had a natural delivery with no pain relief at all. The first time was a lengthy complicated delivery because of all the drugs they administered to me in the UK with my son. So this time I decided no drugs.

I didn't go to the hospital until is was REALLY uncomfortable. So shopped, went to mcdonalds, just made sure I stayed on my feet (to keep my mind off the very mild contractions and let gravity help). Went into the hospital when the pain became very uncomfortable.

I was hooked up to a machine that showed babies heart beat my heart beat and the contractions. The contractions show an rise in number before you actually feel them - just breath through those and keep your eye on the machine. This way you are expecting the pain and can control your emotions and breath through the contraction. One at a time. Without drugs, this stage can develop quickly into the next stage.

The 2nd stage is the most painful. This is the pushing stage. It can last a very short amount of time(30 min) or a long time (1 1/2 hours). My doctor gave me advice that worked wonders (just remember to get you bowels cleaned out with an enema before this part)... Push, like you having a poo and relax your pelvic floor muscle. Keep you mouth closed when pushing. If its open when pushing, you loose power/pressure. As much as you want to scream, put all that energy into keeping your mouth closed and pushing.

I had a special gel bought in by me that lowered your pushing time by 30 %. I can't remember what is called off hand, but my pushing time was 5 min and that part was the worst pain I had ever gone through, but it was over quick and I walked out the hospital 12 hours later with my baby girl. Very healthy with only 1 stitch that I couldn't feel or see (lol).

Oh I remembered what the gel was called - DIANATAL GEL - google and try this out. Also remember to massage your perinium and stretch with your fingers if you can. As disgusting as it sounds to make the skin supple can REALLY help.

I don't have the option of a home birth so I'm attempting a natural birth in a hospital. I've got a great midwife but I'm nervous that I may have one or several battles during labor with doctors or nurses at the hospital that won't be supportive of a natural birth. Most of the replies here are from women who did home births but are there any who managed a natural birth in a hospital?

I had a natural birth in hospital. I had a very strict birth plan that they had to adhere by. They offered me all types of stuff for pain which I refused. Drugs can cause problems some times, with a natural drug free birth is quick and easy as long as you understand the full process of birth and understand what your body needs to do and what you need to do at the different stages. Thank you! I have a strict plan as well. I'm just hoping it won't mean battle after battle with doctors and nurses.

have it where the nurses are there minimally. The have a schedule to keep you don't.
