Mirena Users!

Question:

I've had my Mirena in for about a year now. I went to the gyno the other day and he said he couldn't find it, no strings nothing! Iasked him what that meant and he wouldn't answer me. He didn't seem concerned at all.

Well I've had 3 periods this month (well maybe not periods, but it's definitely irregular bleeding) and HORRIBLE cramps, which I usually don't get either.

Could it have fallen out? Or maybe it's stuck up there? I don't know....

Any thoughts or opinions would be great.....thanks!

I'm having the same problems except I can feel my strings and my breasts are driving me crazy .. What the heck is going on?

i had mine in and it got imbedded (sp?) in the side of my uterus so my doc had to remove it i'd go see another doc

What kind of doctor is just like, Welp it's not there anymore....and lets you go home?! Wow! lol

My breast have been hurting a lot too. Like really sharp jolts. I didn't think it was related to the Mirena though. And I can't feel my strings at all. Do you breastfeed? I though that was where my pain was coming from maybe...

I can't believe your doc. wouldn't tell you what the fuck was up? Sounds like some crock to me. Get a second opinion, that shit's not cool.

I'm going to go to my obgyn that delivered Kiley and see what he thinks. He's the one who put it in anyway....this guy I just transferred to becasue he was closer.

You definately need to see another dr.
It is possible that it fell out, but you'd probally notice something like that. Its also possibly for either the device itself or just the strings to be pushed up and in. If thats the case it needs to be removed.

Obviously that's not where it's meant to be, but is that bad? Like what can happen if it stays there?

Can it cause any type of long term damage though?

i'd be livid if my doctor wouldn't be straight with me

i've had mirena for 7 months and i've been feeling pretty pregnant lately  

i haven't tested yet.. but i'm getting it removed either way, i'm not happy with it and i've heard some horror stories on here about it

I hope you can't get pregnant if it's "stuck" or just not in place right, that would SUCK! lol
