re: Donating Wisely.

This might be a bit off topic, but it seemed the best place to ask. I posted a thread more than a month ago asking if anyone wanted coupons for a rx prenatal that I'm taking. I never got any replies. I just got a pm two days ago asking if I still had the coupons. I checked out the users profile and he's made no posts, joined the site the day he pm-ed me, and has no info on his profile. If I mailed them I would obviously not put a return address, but that still leaves my ZIP. What do you ladies think? I know there are some men on here but it just seems strange to me.

If you do send them dont put your address on there. Especially since he just signed up.

Nooo, I agree with the others, I wouldn't send them... Not worth the risk.

A family friend of mine owns an orphanage in Haiti that is in danger of closing down. It hurts my heart to think of these kids going back to parents who cannot afford to take care of them, or back to the streets for those of them who are orphaned. This is going to be an ongoing project for me personally, but right now its basically an emergency relief type of thing.

Anything that you are able to donate, whether it be old clothes canned goods school supplies or any thing that you think could be used is appreciated. I think tis is a great thread to have. You ladies are amazing. I myself am unable to help most cases because I dont have the money to spare however I do raise money for leukemia and lymphoma society every year in honor of my dad who passed away in 99. I am hoping to do light the night this year. My grandma made it through her chemo for lymphoma and then passed away from mrsa and pneumonia bc her immune system was so weak. I hope I can get together a team this year. No one would do it last year.

This poor woman's plea really touched me. I followed her son's story and was shocked and sadden by his sudden death.
She is a single mom to 3 other children and cannot afford a headstone for her precious angel.
