Same here.
I had my gallbladder out when my oldest was only 2 weeks old.

After reading this I know longer feel like a crazy person. I have been to L&D 3 times over my gallbladder and every time they thought my husband was beating me or something. Til the last time I went in there ans went off I thought I was dying or something was really wrong with my baby!

It took 14 months and several trips to the ER after my son was born before the docs finally did an ultrasound and figured out that I had a lotof gall stones.

It took 3 surgeries to get all the stones and remove my gall bladder. The first few months after it was taken out were horrible. I could barely eat anything without being sick.

But if you are having any of the symptoms you need to get it looked out. Demand an ultrasound if you have to!

I wasn't allowed to pick anything heavier then 10 lbs for at least 2 months. But I wasn't on bed rest. And don't be surprised if certain foods make you sick.

I had my gallbladder removed June 23rd. I was told at first it was muscle strain....was told that for the longest time ("it comes from having kids"). the doctors kept saying that. seen a new doctor in the same building and got an x-ray and an ultrasound. turns out I had multiple gallstones. When they removed the gallbladder, I found out it was inflamed and infected.......and now....a month later, I found out i'm pregnant.

I'm curious what kinds of symptoms you all had? I see a lot of you thought you were dying--but I'm curious about specifics.

I will share what's going on with me, in hopes that you will all pipe in and let me know if you experienced any of these things--and if my gall bladder might be a possibility.

My son is 15 months old. I went to the doc last Nov because I was having discomfort. I never feel like I'm dying. My pain is right under my boobs, in the middle, upper stomach. It feels like a nagging aggrevation...not sharp, but a persistant discomfort. I feel like if I could belch the National Anthem, I would feel much better. It happens when I eat certain foods. Sausage and hot dogs are big no nos--but a lot of times, I can eat pizza one day and be fine--and then again weeks later and not be fine. Mexican food tends to bother me--and ice cream bothers me sometimes. Salads and lots of water also bother me. It seems sporadic...?

My "episodes" tend to last from 2-3 hours. Tums/ Mylanta/ Pepto don't help.

Lately, I feel somewhat nauseous during some of the episodes and have thrown up a bit. Sometimes a little bit of food, other times, thick saliva type liquid, clear.

I know, TMI, sorry.

I have another appt Monday with the specialist. I have to get to the bottom of this. I need to lose weight and I can't because losing weight for me consists of a healthy food diet--and right now, nothing is safe. Not even bland baked chicken on some days.

Anything sound familiar? I would just like to go in educated and find a solution to this nagging discomfort that is visiting me several times a week now.

Oh and I had an ultrasound and bloodwork in Nov--my liver was enlarged, but all of my bloodwork came back fine. So they thought it was AR--told me to take OTC meds and lose weight.

Thanks in advance. I'm tired of feeling crummy and it would be nice if I had some direction.

Maybe you can try Gall Bladder Disorder Diet

Smaller gallstones can usually be cleared through dietetic cure. In cases of acute gall bladder inflammation, the patient should fast for two or three days until the acute condition is cleared. Nothing but water should be taken during this period. After the fast, the patient should take fruit and vegetable juices for a few days. Carrots, beets, grapefruit, pears, lemons or grapes may be taken in the form of juice. Thereafter, the patient should adopt a well balanced diet, with emphasis on raw and cooked vegetables, fruit and vegetable juices, and a moderate amount of fruits and seeds. Yoghurt, cottage cheese, and a tablespoon of olive oil twice a day should also be included in the diet. The patient should avoid meat, eggs, animal fats, processed and denatured foods, fried and greasy foods, refined carbohydrates, alcohol, products made With sugar and coffee, as well as spices, condiments, and pickles. The patient should eat frequent small meals rather than three large meals.
