posted 14th Apr
I just had my gallbladder removed when I was 19 weeks pregnant... Im now 22 weeks! I was havin MAJOR pain so I went to doctor and they did an ultrasound, and discovered I had gallstones! Well they weren't severe so the doctor set up an appointemnt for me to meet the surgeon on the 31st of March... well I had surgery on the 25th of March! I was extremely nervous about being put to sleep and worried about the baby! Well they had 2 teams in the operating room, one for me and one for baby~ Thank the lord, everything went well and baby Aubrey and I are GREAT... feelin so much better! I have 4 tiny incisions on my bellly but that is okay.... they leave me with a story to tell! If you are havin any of the symptoms listed... deff need to see a doctor! I wouldn't put it off~

I know.
I told Nick once that if someone wanted to pay me 2 million dollars to put a gallbladder back inside of me for an experiment I would punch them in the face.

That was the worse pain I have EVER felt!

I was sick with my gallbladder before i had it remove. I went to my regular doctor they decided to run sy ome test. they said everything was fine. The Hydro scan that they ran made me end up in the hospital dehydrated. I decided to change doctors . He sent me to a GI doctor. who kept saying every time i saw her that it was my gallbladder. She ran evry GI test there was to see if that was the problem. She evently sent me to the surgey when a referal to have surgey. he would not do the surgey because he saw no need to to do the surgey. I then went to another surgey who gave three choices surgey, more test, live with the pain. I chose the surgey i was not living with the poain any more. He did the surgey turns out that my gallbladder was turning pink, and slight ion flame. we got it time. i was soo happy when i was finally able to eat ice cream again.

i was 16 weeks when they told me i had gallstones... and had attacks all through my pregnancy.. they told there would only be 2 ways they would do the surgery while i was pregnant.. i dont really remember the terms but not just for the gallstones themself... how did u get the doctor to remove it while pregnant?

and i agree if u have the symptoms go straight to the hospital.. but you'll know somethings wrong with you... i layed on the floor and was screaming bloody murder at 6 am.... and then puked everywhere i swore i was dying..

The doctors didnt acutally say i was crazy but they just told me that i had pains because i was prego. My boyfriend even tried to convice me that the doctors knew what they where talking about. When i was 3 months they tried to tell me that it was just the Braxton Hicks contractions.

I had gallbladder issues while I was pregnant but didn't find that out until I was 6 weeks PP. I had over 200 gallstones.   It was bad stuff.

i had mine out a year ago this past May. I went to the er and told them it was my gall bladder. they checked my heart and kidneys first and then did an ultrasound. it was good they listened cause it was getting infected. The surgery wasn't bad, recovery wasn't bad and i'm much happier without it. but they don't tell you the things you can't eat after you have it out lol I can't eat eggs or some types of saugsages now. but it's little price to pay ( i can still have bakery things just not eggs by themselves)

Why can't you have eggs?

I had mine out going on 6 years ago, and I still eat eggs.

They warned me there may be some foods that will hurt my stomach when eating them after the surgery. I have noticed for myself it's eggs and certain sausages and a few others have had the same reactions that I've met but i've met others that have had no problems whatsoever. I don't eat eggs just the eggs but like in breads, cakes, cookies that sort of thing i'm fine. The sausages it's more like polish sausages and I had no problems with those before the surgery but after I did. it's all good for me though. I'm much happier it was painful!

By 'hurt your stomach' they probably meant "give ya the poops".   I have a really bad time with eating certain foods without my gallbladder.

It does that too lol After I eat anything remotely greasy 10 minutes later i'm in the bathroom like clockwork but no eggs actually make me feel like i'm having a gall bladder attack even though it's gone. it's something to do with the way my body breaks things down now but doesn't affect everyone the same

man i cant believe all that. I was 18 and had this terrible pain went to the er cuz i have no insurance once so ever and the fuckin nurse was like its gas.. well needless to say i cused her ass out and told her it wasnt gas and they did a sonogram i guess to shut me up and it turns out I had to have surgery right away cuz it was gonna burst within 12 hours of arriving at the hospital they had me going under anestetia to get it taken out. Only bad thing is i caught anemonia after and had to stay in the hospital for two weeks but if its bad dont let them tell you otherwise you know your body.

WARNING... now that my galbladder is gone i still have pains and i had to go to the bathroom almost immediatly after eating it was horrible only now that im pregnant has that gone away. Its a condition people get when they have there gallbladder removed and it is quite common.
