Gah I'm irritated right now.

My grandma (mom's mom) turned 80 on Thursday. My mom and my aunt are throwing her a birthday party / art exhibition thing (she's an artist, they're setting up a gallery of her stuff) this weekend.

Next weekend, we're going down to my other grandma's (my dad's mom) because my aunt just had her first baby last month and both my uncle from Arizona and my uncle from Chicago are coming and we're having a meet-the-new-baby, basically holiday celebration because the Arizona uncle can't come for Christmas. So we're doing our big get together then instead of Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Both of these are really important to me, (he's never been to my mom's mom's house before, and he's never met one of my dad's brothers, so I really want him to be at both places) and I told John like 6 weeks in advance because he is the weekend manager and needed to tell his mom to get them covered. Which he did, fine.

Well, yesterday he tells me that they have to roof a house on Saturday, because it's going to be 60º and apparently weather is really important and it's the only day they can do it or something... and basically that he can't go to my grandmas. I'm a little frustrated but what can you do, right? So I'm like that's fine you gotta do what you gotta do. Well now TODAY he texts me saying that there's ANOTHER job they want him to do on Friday so can anyone else go to my ultrasound with me.

And THAT is where I draw the line. He is NOT doing the Friday job. Fuck that. It's complete bullshit and unfair for his dad to expect him to work for him with almost no notice, when he's had plans for weeks. It shows zero respect for his personal life and his family. If his dad tries telling him he has to work next weekend and can't go down to Ohio I am personally calling him and telling him to go fuck himself.

I should just tell him he can't work Friday or Saturday. It's not HIS problem it's his dad's fucking problem, his dad can go find someone else to build the damn roof, or tell the people he can't do it. Fuck, his dad can haul his own ass up on that roof and do it himself if he wants the money for it so bad.

Well Alleighs cough has started to get worse.. and once again shes starting to cough so bad she's throwing up. Any ideas on what I can give her to break down the mucus in her lungs??

I dunno if you can use it on a 2 year old though.

I've got this stuff from walmart- "Hyland's cough syrup 4 kids", it's by the other medicine for kids stuff and you can use it on a 2 year old. It's all homeopathic and it'll relieve the tickling cough in her throat that may be making her to throw up.

Can you get her to spit out the mucous when she coughs it out? If she swallows it, it can make her stomach upset and then she'll puke..

Yeah I jus looked that up.. I saw it says hasn't been shown to work in kids under 6 or whatever..

She won't spit it out.. I try taking her to the bathroom whens he starts coughing real bad and she'll spit but jus saliva. I gave her some Childrens Benedryl for now and she stopped coughin but I know she's going to fall alseep so I wanted something different. I'll check Wal-mart though.

It's probably not very advocated but can you use Children's Tylenol- but the special kind- like cold & flu kind, or whatever one fit her symptoms the best and just adjust the dosage to fit her?

I understand that he is doing what he can and can't please everyone.. what I'm really mad about is his dad feeling like he can tell John he needs to work with no notice.

But he's working Saturday, and he is coming to the U/S with me Friday. Because that's more important to me right now. I really want him to come up to Traverse City on Saturday but I want to NOT have to go by myself to the ultrasound more. There is no one to take care of 4444.
