pediatricians who accept medicaid

i live in orlando fl and im on medicaid and so is my baby who is due next week and i cant find a pediatrician. can anyone give me any advice on where to look or even a referral? ive exhausted every effort and alley and i cant find anything. please help!!

When Mason was on Medicaid after he was first born they gave me a specific doctor to go to. Maybe contact your case worker and ask where you need to or can go.

Call the number on the back of your card and they can help you find a dr in your area!

Your medicaid should have a website with a list of providers. My OBGYN gave me a name of a pedi and I loved him and he accepted my insurance.

I don't know of any Pedi in my area who DOESN'T take Medicaid...I thought they all did...

your medicaid people will give you a list of offices. I know they gave me like 20...and only one of them was in a nice area. I have to drive 30 minutes to it. Its really frustrating. Hopefully its better where you live.

The hospital will give you a list most likely if you do not have a pedi by then. Sometimes even the Doctors in the hospital who see the nursery babies have offices (usually large) and they will take on the infant in their practice.

the # on the back of my card is an automated # and tells me to contact my local medicaid office which i can never get a hold of someone

I was just asking my friend about this, there's a Dr. Slack out of the Florida Hospital. . . She accepts medicaid, and I hear she's really great. I know they accept medicaid at the florida hospital so that might be a good place to start.

I too am looking foe a pediatrician. Which Fl Hospital dr. accepts medicaid? Ithink someone said the Dr.s name startes with an "S"
