tanning after baby

posted 10th Mar
I was just wondering how long I should wait before going to the tanning bed after having my daughter. She will be 1 month old on Friday. I had a c-section and I am breast feeding.

Tanning won't effect either, in fact tanning has shown to have an antimicrobial effect on the skin. Just becareful on which products you use, because a lot of them aren't tested by the FDA for safety.

I would wait a few more weeks, and make sure you keep your nipples covered.

Tanning is so relaxing...I miss it

i went a few weeks ago and had my daughter 5months ago i went once and im still fried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and i NEVER burn.
i wont be going anytime soon. you body is way more sensitive with all the hormones.

but im not sure about b/fing. i think just keep a bra on and protect your nipples. as for c-section i d k. and i had one.

well, I wasn't sure if it would have an effect on the amount of milk produced or on my incision scar because it isn't completely healed, like if I should put some kind of ointment on it or something before...

I think u should go when ever you get a chance. I always say Iam gonna go but find I either never have the time for that or rather do my household "chores" than tan lol.

dont put anything on it. let it heal naturally id say just cover both areas. and no tanning wont effect milk production in anyway.

I can understand that! Having a tan always makes me feel good too..

2 weeks isn't very long.. you can tone and tan together! If you go decide to go sooner I would def cover your nips and scar and go for short amounts of time.

I'm sure you know that, but do not put lotion on your nipples (I'm sure that's a duh comment..lol sorry)

GL and congrats on the size 5's (you bitch!) Jk :p

lol, thanks! I am so busy right now considering I have a 2 yr. old also that it probably won't even be an option for a couple more weeks..lol, but I know to def. not put anything on the nipples and I will definitely keep them covered when I do go thank you for the advice! =)
