Quoting Pregnant Cracka |28weeks|:" all these are nice ideas, but how in the WORLD do you plan on keeping up with all of it? You'd be ... [snip!] ... If it bothers you that much, maybe you should think about leaving? I can't stand the millions of contests, but I got over it."

I agree!

This is how I feel: The whole use the siggie rule, I get it, but you can't force people to put it on their page. Maybe they use it in another way, but we don't have the right to tell them what they can and can't do.

Posting about getting votes, I think it should be allowed. Nobody wants to look through pages and pages of stuff, I posted the name of my contest going and I said go vote, without a link and someone said "you want us to vote, you give us a link because we don't want to look through tons of stuff."

PM for votes, it's perfectly fair. If you want to ask someone to vote for your child, that's your business. There's no different between asking friends to vote. Not all people go on BG to vote for contest, and the people who do are usually friends with the person who is in the contest. Besides, things would be tied if you didn't bump for votes. So it should be allowed.

Posting contest over and over again, I say just deal with it. There are new members and there would not be contest running if people didn't do the same contest as others. They should be allowed to run a contest about whatever they want. Some people enter the same type of contest because they weren't able to with a different one that was the same category.

I don't see how random contest are ridiculous (one blue eye, one brown) you want different contest, and some people want to change it up. There are people like that and just because it doesn't apply to everyone doesn't mean it should not be allowed.

The bottom line is that there is too much control. You want to control everyone's rules and how they work their contest when majority of people don't care. What happened to it being America? This is a public forum, it's not paid for and when people start putting rules on everything and restrictions, people leave. I feel if you don't like a contest, don't participate in it, and just let the people do what they want.

I really think people need to be required to read the rules before entering a contest.

I just came in here to ask the same question! I am hosting a giveaway on my blog with lots of newborn goodies to be won. I don't want to be flagged as Spam though. Can I post a link to my giveaway? If so, where?
