I think you shouldn't be able to enter your own contest!

i like the one per person thing, but maybe 1 per week instead?? a month is a long time!

I personally dont like the idea of soliciting votes, its not fair, because then other mommies who havent got as many PT or dont do it dont get a fair chance for their bubs to be REAL winners.....


i think there should be a limit of 20 people entering a contest, the 1st 20 people in get it, after that then its basically 'tough luck' i hate going in to a voting and it takes 10 minutes ot load because theres 50 entries...and then you have to vote for 10 of them and its os hard to remember which ones you like best and stuff, and because theres so many you like more then the required number and have to choose...its frustrating!!

and no rude contests, i saw one asking for pictures of people tits from some lady, she had also posted a pic of SO's penis with a link to the contest underneath it...i opened that with a friends 4 yr old sitting next to me and she actually SAW IT. i was so disgusted and i had to explain what it was and why it was hard like that(she's seen her dads obviously) i didnt know what to say!

maybe no mean contests? Theres some contest asking for the biggest n00b and stuff, theyre not very nice, it'd be really upsetting to be entered into it by someone else....

oh and 1 last one(lol i keep thinking of things that annoy me!!) no entering other ppls kids, it should be allowed, its against privacy laws! I've had my ultrasound picture entered by someone else into a contest without my watermarking on it(and without my permission)and it caused a huge problem because someone stole it and then claimed i stole hers!!

i know that bugs me especially when i've entered the contest and been 4th place, so jsut missed out on a siggy. if that person hadn't entered i could've won!!

Should enter mine! I just started making fourth places! just because of this.... lots of times it is so very close.

exactly! I do understand if theyre got quite a few siggys and after 6 months or something they take down the siggy to a contest they or bub have won, but when they dont place it on their profile in the 1st place its a waste of time! and its really hurtful to the contest holder/siggy maker after theyre hard work!

I think that is half the reason some of these Mom's do them LMFAO...  I seldom see a contest without the OP having their child in it.... and yes it is weird... like do you vote for them for hosting it? hahaha

I don't like the once contest per week or month because my contest are badass and when I decide to do them, I do them all at the same time.

Agreed. Even Mara said it would be impossible to enforce, and no....nobody would get banned.

But I figured if the rules are there, and the amount of people that choose to follow them (however few may do so), at least it could help a little.

Contest seem to be totally over-taking BG lately, it's getting annoying. I can't stop people from making contests, but even if we can get some of the soliciting cut back....it could help.

Well I think one thing that would be nice would be people not posting the link to contests in other parts of the forums Lol thats seriously crazy. Like just bump up the original posts if people want to eventually they will vote or enter right...

yeah good point, most moms hold the contest because theyve got a cute pic of their bub in the bath or holding elmo or under a tree or something LOL so they want to see if anyone else does and whose is cutest....

a really annoying thing is when people jsut vote for who they think is cutest regardless of what the contest is! i held a messiest face contest last month and everyone voted for their own kids and the ones the they looked cuter(either that or the mums were solicitng votes) and the ones i had thought would win because they really WERE the messiest didnt even get a placing, the messiest kid there came 9th! defeated the point of it being a messiest face contest, i shouldve named it 'cutest food face' instead....
