Those are wicked, Shannon!! Cool! I suck totally at macro- I have zero eye for what is interesting. So this will be a fun challenge for me. Even if I am not good at it- it's good to stretch those legs errr lenses....ya know?

Good job with your P&S!! I wanna see the clover one with the grass pushed out of the way- and then if you choose to edit it- if you bump of the sharpness and saturation it would look so lush!

You totally have it! I have zero tips as this is a new category for me but I know you absolutely have the idea of what abstract macro is. Nice captures. I would be interested to see moreof the water pics taken outside with the camera, taken on a tripod or at least a perfectly steady surface. TOO cool. Good job!

F/5.6 1/200 sec ISO-200

F/3.5 1/60sec ISO-80 ( I love that you can see all the way into the pansy)


F/3.5 1/250 sec ISO-80


and my edit, I played with the saturation and temp. (besides basic crop and fixI have never really edited before)



I tried working with things in the house but I dont have that eye I guess.

Thanks... is there snow there? I would love to try macro out in snow. I had so much fun yesterday wondering around my moms yard for a good two hours. ran through a set of batteries too

Nice shots! You just reminded me that Keukenhof (the worlds largest flower garden in Holland) opens in 18 days!!! I'm counting down to doing some flower macros of my own

Thanks! My method is just to walk in a room, and look at things in different ways than I normally see them. If something catches my eye, I shoot it lol.
