Yeah its crazy. Since I was always in different countires for work (flight attendant as you know), I made drug contacts all over the globe, it was awesome. Amsterdam is great though, really cant beat that. We should take a BG Drug and Alcohol Support Group Thread trip there.

I'm sorry  . Mymom's ex boyfriendwas just like that when he was drinking.Unfortunately, we tried putting him into several treatment programsand nothing worked until he hit rock bottom himself and really wanted to get clean for himself, not because we told him we would leave. I hope that your dad gets better, but it seems like you are handling it as well as you possibly can and doing a good job of keeping the rest of your family together  .

today my bf tells me he wants to drink at the BBQ we went to and I said no (we've been completely sober for 24 days now) he got mad because his addiction "isn't a problem anymore". What will it take for him to realize that addiction is not all about using?? I mean, we've already hit rock bottom.

For the first time in forever, I talked to my dad and he was SOBER.

He has been in jail for 7 days now, and my mom just bailed him out because he wants to admit himself into the hospital to get help.

He actually cared about what was going on in my life right now and promised to fix what I was going through ( another story ).

wow, it felt good to talk to him when he was sober.
